They went into the restaurant and got seated, they all ordered their food and drinks. The three of them spent ages chatting until Angela finally decided to mention Lucy's instability.

"Lu, we are a bit worried." Angela admitted.

"I knew there was a reason we were going out tonight, you guys aren't slick with it."

"How come u agreed then?" Nyla was confused

"I need to hear what u have to say."

Angela and Nyla were shocked Lucy was actually willing to listen to them.

"Ok then let's skip to the issue." Angela laughed.

"Lu, u have become so reliant on everyone around u." Nyla said bluntly.

"Wow ok so that hurt." Lucy joked,

"Yeah sorry that was a bit blunt,"

"Do u get what we mean tho Luce?" Angela chimed in

"I do, I just don't trust myself to be alone now and to make my own decisions."

"That's fair enough Lu, but you used to be so determined and had so much passion." Angela looked sad.

"What do u mean Ange?"

"I first met u when u and Tim started dating, u was 16 and he was 26!"

"What!" Nyla was not aware of this information.

"I do not like it when that's brought up," Lucy grinned,

"Me and him had just become training officers together, and then u got pregnant at 17 but you didn't let that stop ur dreams of joining the police Luce. So why should another dilemma stop you from doing what u love."

Lucy began to tear up, the past year and a half she had been a wreck since the divorce.

"I'm sorry but how did I not put the pieces together that u had tam at 17!" Nyla laughed.

"It was rough." Lucy smiled.

"But you made it Luce! So what's any different to now?"

"I was happy."

"Well what's making u not happy? Let's find the root cause." Angela tried to keep the spirits high.

"That's the issue I have no clue. Like why do I not want Tim back?" Lucy was trying to verbalise her thoughts.

"Well he hasn't exactly been the best has he?"

"I suppose."

"Would u consider going back to therapy?" Nyla questioned.

"I don't know if it made much of a difference." Lucy shrugged.

"Lucy It made such a difference!"

"Really?" Lucy wasn't convinced.

"Yes, I don't want to push you but I think going back would be beneficial."

"I'll call dr London in the morning then."

"That's the first step in the right direction."Nyla smiled.

"And Lucy I'm going to be honest with you, I think you need to make a decision about what you want between u and Tim. It's not fair on him not knowing where you guys stand," Angela advised.

"Is that what he was talking to you about?"

"Yes Lu, he genuinely loves you so much."

"I'll have a chat with him then."

"Good idea." Angela nodded.

"Feel like I need a strong drink after that conversation." Lucy joked.

"No Lucy I don't think that's a good idea."

"I'm joking!"

"Thank god, I'm not in the mood for vomit tonight."

The three of them ate their food and continued chatting till 9pm.

"We should probably head home in a bit." Nyla suggested,

"Yeah good idea, I bet willow isn't going to sleep for Wesley." Angela laughed.

They paid their bill and got up and left, Nyla dropped Angela and Lucy home. She then went back to hers. James opened the door for her when he saw the car pull into the driveway.

"Have a fun time?" James hugged Nyla.

"It was more like a therapy session." Nyla laughed.

They sat on the couch.

"How is Lucy now?"

"She seemed alright this evening, but did u know she was pregnant at 17! And Tim was 27!"

"No way!"

"Yep, not that I'm judging that's just crazy."

"Poor girl has been through it all," James felt sorry for Lucy.

"Yeah she actually really has, bless her.

Meanwhile at Angela's house willow was refusing to go to bed.

"Thank god ur home." Wesley sighed.

"What's going on?" Angela asked while taking her shoes off.

"Willow will not go to sleep, she wants u to put her to bed." Wesley rolled his eyes.

"Alright," Angela went into willows room.

"Mommy!" Willow smiled.

"Hey baby, why aren't you going to sleep for daddy?" Angela sat on the floor with willow in her lap.

"I missed u." Willow nestled her head into Angela's arms.

"I missed u too baby, but it's really late and ur seeing memaw tomorrow!"

"Yay!"

Angela lifted willow into bed and tucked her in. She placed a kiss on her head and turned the light off.

"Night baby."

Lucy was sat on the couch already in her pyjamas, she was talking to Wesley about one of his cases.

"How are u in pyjamas already?"

"How are u not? Dresses are so uncomfortable."

"I have responsibilities to deal with." Angela raised an eyebrow.

"Fair enough. Do u have my stuff for ur bag?"

"Bags in the kitchen, I'm going to get changed."

Lucy got up and found her things in Angela's bag. She took a few hits of her vape in the kitchen so Wesley wouldn't see. Then she returned to the sofa.

"U working tomorrow?" Wesley asked Lucy.

"Yeah, are u?"

"No, I'm taking the kids to my mom's and then out for brunch."

"Sounds nice, how is ur mom I haven't seen her in forever."

"She's good, you should come with us next time we visit." Wesley suggested.

"Come where?" Angela asked as she entered the room in her pyjamas.

"My mom's next time we go."

"Oh yeah, she would like that." Angela sat cuddled up to Wesley.

"What shall we watch?" Wesley asked.

"Top chef." Lucy grinned.

"Ok then."

The three of them watched tv for the rest of the night.
