The next morning Lucy woke up to a message from Tim's mom,

"Hey Lucy, I was wondering if we could grab lunch and have a talk if that's ok?"

Lucy didn't know what to reply, she wanted to speak to Tim to see what his mom had said to him. Lucy decided to leave it till she saw him at work.

Lucy changed into jeans and a pink floral T-shirt, she decided to braid her hair as she hadn't for a while. She was ready quite early so sat on the edge of her bed replying to other messages before going into the kitchen.

"Morning Lu, u alright?" Wesley smiled.

"Yeah I think so, are you?"

"Yes thanks, Angela got called in last night so she's not here," he explained

"Oh bless her, she's probably exhausted."

"Yeah I think she is, hopefully she can come home soon."

"I'll stop and grab her a coffee on the way in,"

"Okey dokie, have a good day!"

"You too,"

Lucy slid her shoes on and left the house, she hated when Angela got called in because then she would be in a bad mood because she's tired.

On the way Lucy stopped by the gas station to grab a new vape, she had forgotten it and was really trying to get off the cigarettes. Her next stop was Starbucks where she picked up a drink for herself, Angela and Nyla.

Lucy was kind of nervous about walking into the station, she never walks in alone. She sat in the car for a while looking out the window and hadn't relished how long she had been zoned out for until her phone began to ring.

L- yes sir?
G- Lucy where are you? Shift started 5 minutes ago
L- I'm so sorry I'm just getting out the car now.
G- come see me when u get here
L- yes sir.

Lucy quickly took a few puffs of her vape before she walked inside, immediately she spotted Angela and Nyla still obviously working a case.

"Two coffees." Lucy smiled placing them down on the desk.

"Oh Lu I love you so much," Angela smiled.

"Oh my gosh thank you!" Nyla said.

"Of course, ugh grey wants to see me." Lucy groaned.

"I'm sure it's nothing,"

"Better not be anything bad."

Lucy knocked on the office door and walked inside, Tim was sat opposite grey.

"Lucy take a seat," grey gestured.

"Tell me what's going on first," Lucy shifted uncomfortably on her feet.

"Lucy it's just about last night," Tim said trying to calm her.

"What about last night?" Lucy was growing increasingly anxious.

"Lucy just sit down it's ok," Tim tried to reassure her,

"Chen I just wanted a chat with you both at the same time following the argument you had." Grey spoke softly.

Lucy was starting to hyperventilate.

"Lu, have u taken ur meds this morning?" Tim stood up and slowly approached her.

"I..I I don't know." Lucy mumbled.

"Do you have them with you?"

Lucy shrugged.

Tim was almost certain she must have forgotten to take them, she wasn't acting normally.

"Lucy sit on the sofa," grey smiled.

Lucy sunk into the chair but was still looking around nervously.

"Lu can I look in your bag to check you have your meds."

Lucy nodded

As soon as Tim opened the backpack he spotted Lucy's vape, then a packed of cigarettes fell out. He continued searching but couldn't find her meds anywhere.

"I'm going to grab Angela, see if anyone can bring the meds." Tim stood up.

"Tim don't go," Lucy whispered.

"I'll just be a second Lu,"

Tim quickly left the office and gestured for Angela to come over,

"Oh lulu what's wrong?" Angela saw her crying on the sofa.

"I really don't know, I forgot my meds and I'm trying so hard to quite smoking but I feel like it's making me worse,"

"Oh baby, Wesley said he can drop the meds in 5 ok?"

Lucy nodded.

"Lu can I do anything?" Tim asked softly

"Can u come sit outside with me?"

"Of course,"

Lucy stood up and picked up the pack of cigarettes from her bag, she then dug out her lighter.

"Lu I'll bring the meds out to u ok?" Angela gave her a hug as Lucy walked out the door with Tim.

Angela and Grey exchanged a worried look

"I feel awful now because I wanted to speak to her," Grey admitted

"No honestly it's probably a good thing this happened otherwise she might've not realised she hasn't taken her meds till it was too late and something worse could've happened."

"I guess, does she really smoke that much?"

"Yeah quite often, she keeps trying to quit but then she feels crappy." Angela sighed.

"I honestly thought she was doing so much better,"

"She is improving and wants to seem like she's almost fully better but there's been a few times at home when I can just tell she's not doing great but she won't admit it."

"Oh bless her, how long till her casts off?"

"Probably a few weeks,"

"I really wanted her back on the streets when it comes off but I'm not sure that's realistic,"

"It would be great if she could but I'm just not sure she's ready,"

Meanwhile Tim and Lucy sat on a bench outside, Lucy lit her cigarette and was scrolling on her phone.

"You feeling ok?" Tim asked quietly

"I think so, I forget how much I rely on my meds till I don't have them. I feel like I'm having to use all my energy to control my emotions."

"Oh Lu I feel awful, I hate when u feel this way."

"It's fine, oh yeah ur mom messaged me."

"Oh really, she did mention messaging u,"

"She asked to meet for lunch so we can talk,"

"What did u reply?"

"I haven't yet, I do want to speak to her because I didn't like how we ended things,"

"Maybe meet her today then, maybe ask grey to have the rest of the day off," Tim suggested.

"Tim I didn't even make it into my uniform I'm not sure grey will let me leave already."

"You never know." He laughed.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you last night, I honestly didn't mean it,"

"Baby I'm sorry too, I think we were all exhausted and it was just a shock for us to have to be reminded of everything and having to tell my mom about it was hard."

"Wow that was hot," Lucy smirked.

"Oh don't,"

Lucy looked up and kissed Tim just as Angela walked outside.

"Oh sorry am I interrupting something," she laughed handing Lucy her meds.

"Not at all, thank you so much," she popped one un her mouth.

"Of course Lu, I think grey is going to speak to you about having today off,"

"I would love that," Lucy smiled
