The day after

The next morning Angela's mouth was even more swollen and there was some slight bruising, Lucy still was feeling so bad about it. She just couldn't understand how it happened.

The two walked into the station together, Lucy hated work now as she was station bound. They went into the locker room and got ready for the day.

Nyla greeted them with a smile that soon faded when she saw Angela's mouth.

"Oh my god what happened!?" Nyla asked.

"There was just a small incident but it's nothing." Angela smiled.

Nyla knew Angela would tell her later.

After getting into uniform Lucy went to greys office to ask what she would be doing today. She knocked at his door and went in.

"Morning sir." Lucy tried to smile.

"Morning Lucy, u alright today?" Grey smiled back.

"I think so. I've got the doctors after work so I guess we will see what they say." Lucy let out an awkward laugh.

"I think getting some answers will really help. Anyway today please can you work with Angela and Nyla on whatever they need u for."

"Yes sir,"

Angela was telling Nyla about what happened with Lucy.

"Oh my god, I feel so bad for her." Nyla replied.

Lucy began to approach them.

"I'm helping u guys today." Lucy smiled.

"Alright, well we have a guy in interrogation if you want to come to that? Or we have piled of paper work." Nyla laughed,

"I'll do the paperwork, I'm not really in a sociable mood," Lucy made up an excuse to be alone, she was so worried about hurting anyone else.

Angela and Nyla walked off and once out of Lucy's hearing range they carried on with their conversation.

"So what is going to happen about her then?" Nyla asked.

"Doctor's appointment after work today."

"What do u think they will say."

"Honestly last night she was describing all the symptoms of bpd so I wouldn't be surprised if it's that." Angela sighed.

"Oh really, like what?"

"Unstable emotions and relationships, feeling impulsive. I don't know that much about it but I did some googling." Angela shrugged.

"Bless her, she really is going through it." Nyla said sympathetically.

"It doesn't help Bailey messaged her about the party for John, Tim is also invited so that's real awkward." 

"I was wondering about that,"

"It's going to be so stressful, making sure she doesn't almost kill him again."

"How are u going to do that then?" Nyla laughed knowing Angela was already stressing.

"I've told her to not have a drink when we r there," Angela rolled her eyes at Nyla's laughing.

"She won't listen to that."

"Any suggestions then?"

"Speak to the person causing all this." Nyla suggested.

"To be honest Nyla I don't think Tim's the whole issue, like last night no one was even talking to Lucy and she was so angry."

"It's definitely something medical then."

The two of them conducted the interview and managed to arrest the guy.

Meanwhile Lucy just stared at the pile of paperwork she was supposed to be doing. She couldn't stop thinking about how she punched Angela and she was so scared for the doctors appointment.

She was interrupted by someone sitting down next to her.

"Hey Lu." Bailey smiled.

"Oh hi!" Lucy was shocked to see her.

"Me and Bea thought we would come and see you," Bailey passed Bea to Lucy.

"Hello gorgeous girl."

Bea looked so grown up now even though she was only 5 months. Lucy still couldn't believe she was her daughter,

"Lucy I messaged u last night." Bailey reminded her.

"Crap I saw it and then spoke to Angela about it and then sort of crashed out so I forgot to reply." Lucy sighed

"Oh Lu, what happened?"

"I just got really angry and punched Angela, I feel awful I didn't even mean to do it."

"Oh Luce that's not good." Bailey was shocked.

"I know, luckily she isn't mad."

"Who's not mad?" Angela and Nyla appeared from behind Lucy.

"Oh I was telling Bailey why I forgot to reply to her message."

"Oh.. yeah, but it's ok because we are working through it." Angela smiled at Lucy.

Everyone had started to be more soft when talking to Lucy because they knew how much she was struggling.

"So Lucy u coming to the party?" Bailey asked.

"Yeah I will,"

"Good we all wanted u to come!" Bailey smiled and stood up.

"You going?" Nyla asked her.

"Bea needs feeding and then a nap."

"It was nice seeing you," Lucy passed Bea to Bailey who put her in the stroller.

"Bye!" They all said.

"Lucy u coming to get lunch with us?" Angela questioned.

"Um I don't know."

"Why?" Angela was confused

"What if I get angry at someone, I can't be around people." Lucy admitted.

"Lucy just come it will be fine."

"Will it though? If I snap at anyone I could loose my job."

"We will just be sat with Celina, Nolan and Aaron." Nyla reassured her.

"I just don't know."

"Lucy u can't isolate yourself."

"Ok I'll come."

Short part but I didn't have too many idea and didn't want to drag it out until the doctors appointment!
