A few weeks later it was Tim's first day back after he got shot, as he arrived he went straight to greys office to get the conversation over and done with.
He walked in to Lucy already sat talking to grey.
Lucy had still been struggling since the incident at the hospital. She had screamed at Angela more times than she could remember, left work before end of shift, and pretty much had an argument with everyone. She also stopped going to therapy.
"Tim come sit down." Grey smiled.
Lucy scooted her chair away from him.
"So you two really need to sort things out because you both have your own issues that are having a detrimental impact on the division."
"Sir I work for metro not patrol." Tim said without thinking.
"Bradford your office is in my station, you are still under my roof!" Grey barked.
Lucy sat there not even listening to the conversation, she was too busy zoned out.
"Sorry sir," Tim replied embarrassed.
"So what are we going to do about this issue then?" Grey asked.
"Sir I'm not too sure,"
"Lucy? What do u think?" Grey noticed her absence.
She was too engrossed in her own thoughts to hear him.
"Chen!" Tim yelled in his TO voice.
Lucy jumped, why the hell would he do that?
"What the hell Tim!?" Lucy shouted.
"What I was getting ur attention?" Tim acted innocent.
"Tim why would u do that?" Grey was annoyed.
"I can't do this anymore." Lucy excused herself and went to hide in the bathroom.
"I didn't mean to startle her."
"Tim u need to think sometimes."
"Sorry."
"Anyway, we need to make a plan of how we are going to sort you and Lucy out. Or one of you will have to leave the station."
"What's the plan?" Tim asked, clearly not liking the idea of one of them leaving.
"Consequences.. if either one of you start anything I will find a way to make your week living hell." Grey grinned.
"For example?"
"Cleaning the drunk tank sounds reasonable, how about riding with Smitty for a week? Or maybe having to babysit a crime scene?"
"Ok that sounds fair," Tim really did not want to do any of those.
Meanwhile Lucy was in the bathroom sobbing over the sink, why was Tim like this she missed the old him. All of a sudden the door opened.
"Lucy?" A voice said.
Lucy snapped her head around to see Lila looking concerned.
"Oh hey Lila, u alright?" Lucy wiped her eyes.
"Um yeah I'm ok, shall I go get someone for you?"
"I think I'll be alright but thanks, what are u doing here?" Lucy managed a small smile.
"Just hanging out with my mom, schools closed,"
"Oh yeah that's why Angela's off." Lucy still looked sad.
"A hug?" Lila held her arms out.
Lucy nodded. Lila hugged Lucy tight, Lucy had been needing a hug for a while but no one to give her one. Eventually the two broke apart.
"Let me sort myself out and then we can go see ur mom,"
Lucy washed her face with cold water to try and erase the puffiness.
"Ok let's go."
They walked out together and went to find Nyla who was chatting with Celina and Nolan. Nyla noticed straight away Lucy had been crying, and so did the rest of them.
"Lucy what happened?" Celina asked.
"It's nothing don't worry."
"Lucy something must have happened, u had that meeting with Grey and Tim didn't u?" Nyla realised.
"Yep."
"How did it go?" Nolan joined in with the conversation.
"I left straight away."
"Why?" They all asked.
"Tim yelled at me."
"What? Why?" Nyla was pissed off.
"I was zoned out and he screamed 'Chen'." Lucy explained.
"That's so messed up." Celina said.
"Did grey say anything?" Nolan added
"I don't know."
Lucy glanced over and saw Tim leaving greys office so decided it was the perfect opportunity to go back in.
"Sir?" Lucy stood in the doorway.
"Lucy come in." Grey said sympathetically
"I'm sorry I walked out."
"It's understandable, don't even worry about it."
"So what did you guys talk about?"
Grey explained the plan to Lucy, she didn't seem to have much of a reaction.
"Lucy u need to take this seriously."
"I am!" She yelled.
"Lucy u need to start learning to control your emotions or you won't be fit to work."
"I'm trying.. it's just I don't know what's going on anymore." Lucy's eyes filled with tears.
"U need to see a doctor Lucy, I cannot loose you as an officer." Grey smiled.
Lucy nodded, she stood up.
"Can I clock out please?" By now Lucy was holding in sobs.
"It's 10am Lucy,"
"I need to go home and sort some things out."
"Like what?"
"Going to the bloody doctors!" Lucy shouted at grey.
"Ok."
Grey didn't know what to do anymore, if it was any other officer acting like this he would've fired them by now. He saw Lucy as a daughter, she had been through so much no wonder she was like this.
Grey decided to give Angela a heads up Lucy was coming home
On the phone:
G- hey Angela.
A- hi, is everything ok?
G- Lucy is on her way home.
A- oh god, what's happened now?
G- Tim yelled at her because she zoned out and then she came back in after he left and she yelled at me.
A- this is getting out of hand, she needs help.
G- I've told her to see a doctor, I think there's something medically wrong.
A- alright I'll talk to her when she gets home.
G- thanks,
A- no worries, thank you for the heads up.

Lucy walked into the locker room to get changed out of uniform, she was still sobbing. Why couldn't Tim just go back to how he used to be, yeah they argued a bit but not this bad.
She pulled on the joggers she had been wearing for the past couple of days. Lucy had lost all motivation for anything, she even hated the job because she wasn't allowed out of the station.
Hope u guys enjoyed this part, it was a bit short but I'm writing the next part straight away. Do you have any ideas for when Lucy goes to the doctors?
