Dont touch me

Angela arrived at Nyla's around 10 minutes later. Lucy was still sat on the sofa crying, Nyla was trying to comfort her but didn't seem to be succeeding.

Nyla opened the door and let Angela in, her nose was turning purple.

"Girl ur nose," Nyla said shocked.

"I know, how is she?"

"Not great. I really don't know how we can help her."

Angela followed Nyla over to where Lucy was sat.

"U ok Lu?" Angela sat down next to her, Nyla left the room to give them some space.

"No."

"Do u want a hug?"

"Don't touch me." Lucy's voice was monotone.

"Ok sorry."

"I'm so sorry Ange." Tears welled in Lucy's eyes.

"Lu it's ok, I forgive u."

"I'm quitting the job Ange,"

"Lucy u can't!"

"Why? I never actually do anything anymore it's pointless."

"Lucy u cannot quit. If you do then all ur hard work will be gone!"

"I don't care."

"U do Lucy! We are going to the doctors tomorrow first thing in the morning because this is ridiculous! They need to give you help."

"They won't though Ange."

"We need to try Lucy, I'm going to carry on fighting for u whether u like it or not." Angela smiled.

"Thank u, I'm so sorry."

"Don't apologise Lu none of this is ur fault."

"And I know that deep down."

"Please can I give u a hug Lucy?"

"Angela I'm scared I'll hurt you again."

"You won't darling." Angela wrapped her arms around Lucy and held her like a baby.

"I hate this so much, why am I like this?"

"I don't know baby, will we get this sorted. I'm going to call the doctor now alright." Angela stood up grabbed her phone and went into the kitchen where Nyla was.

"She ok?" Nyla asked.

"Not great, I'm making an appointment at the doctors for tomorrow morning."

Angela dialled the number,

D- hello this is St Stephen's hospital how can I help?
A- hiya I need to book an appointment for Lucy Chen
D- what seems to be wrong?
A- we came in a few months ago and she was diagnosed with bpd and given meds to take when she felt an episode coming on but things have gotten so much worse.
D- I'm so sorry to hear that, can u explain what has been happening?
A- today she ran out of work and no one knew where she was, she refused to leave her partners house and punched me in the face which isn't the first time she's been physical.
D- oh wow, that's not right. Her documents say she only has a mild case but I think that needs to be checked.
A- that's what I was thinking, when can u fit her in?
D- I'd like to see her asap so does tomorrow at 8am work for you both?
A- that's great, I need to double check we can both get the morning off work but I'm sure it will be fine.
D- ok just call if u can't make it.
A- thank you so much.

Angela hung up, she was relieved that progress might be made.

"Do u think grey will let us have the morning off?" Angela asked Nyla
