Surgery

Lucy had been gone for almost an hour, Grey was starting to worry that she had done something stupid. He decided to give her a call.

L- yes?
G- just checking in, how u doing?
L- crap.
G- understandable, are u on ur way back?
L- maybe in a bit
G- be back in half an hour ok?
L- alright.

Lucy hung up the phone, the call had snapped her back into reality. She looked around and realised she had no clue where she was, it was just empty land. She was sweating so much due to the sun being at its peak as it was midday. She started her walk back to the hospital. Halfway back her phone died, she knew she was going to be way longer than half an hour.

Lucy arrived back to the hospital and was greeted by a not too impressed grey and Angela.

"Lucy what the hell!" Angela yelled.

"Woah calm down." Lucy rolled her eyes.

"No Lucy! Grey told u be back in half an hour and u didn't listen."

"Well obviously if I've been walking for an hour it's going to take longer than half an hour to get back!" Lucy raised her voice even more.

"I'm not doing this with you today Lucy. Tim is in surgery and u think it's ok to act like this!"

"Do I look like I want u to be here right now?"

"Oh piss off."

"Gladly."

Lucy once again set off out the hospital. She was so fed up of everyone and everything that was going on, she didn't know what to do with herself so she decided to call Bailey.

L- hey Bailey
B- Lu omg I heard about Tim, how is he?
L- I don't know, he's in surgery
B- I'm so sorry to hear that.
L- yeah me too, are u working today?
B- yeah I am
L- oh ok never mind.
B- what's up?
L- me and Angela had an argument and I don't want to be at the hospital.
B- oh Lu I'm sorry, do u want me to finish early?
L- nah don't worry I'll be fine
B- no Lucy I'm worried,
L- don't be, Im going to give Tim's sister a call
B- ok Lu, don't hesitate to call.
L- thanks.

Once getting off the phone to Bailey, Lucy decided to call Genny to inform her about the accident.

G- hey Lucy, u ok?
L- um not really, Tim's been in an accident.
G- what type of accident?
L- we don't know how but his truck ended up making its way off a ledge. He's in surgery now and things are looking good.
G- oh my god, are you at the hospital now?
L- I just left, I'm not in a very good mental state right now.
G- do you want me to come get you?
L- nah I'm good, I'll probably head into work.
G- ok, Lucy if you need anything just call
L- will do.

Lucy knew she couldn't walk the streets for hours, but she also knew she couldn't sit there waiting for the surgery to be over. Lucy called an uber to take her to Angela's place.

While in the uber Lucy stared out the window, thinking about Tim. They had just started getting along and then this happens

When Lucy arrived she opened the door and went straight to her bedroom, she grabbed her work bag. She slumped onto the chair at her vanity and started to braid her hair. Once finished she tried to cover her tired eyes with concealer, this wasn't very effective.

Another uber arrived to take Lucy to the station, on the way there she stared out the window whilst her leg bounced. She kept replaying how angry Angela was with her.

Minutes later she stepped out the uber and walked into the station, her head hung almost as if she didn't want anyone to see her. As Lucy was entering the locker room she felt an arm on her shoulder.
