Lucy woke up to Angela calling her for breakfast, today was the first morning things were back to normal since forever ago. Lucy was in a good mood which was unusual, she went into the kitchen to see Angela and Wesley cooking waffles together.
"Alright love birds." Lucy fake gagged.
"Oh shush Luce." Angela rolled her eyes
"You want waffles or not." Wesley joked.
"Of course I do, I'm popping out the back first."
Lucy stood in the garden still in pyjamas puffing on her vape, she shivered in the fresh morning air.
"What's Lucy doing out there?" Wesley was confused.
Angela wasn't sure if she should tell him the truth.
"Vape." Angela rolled her eyes.
"She shouldn't be.." Wesley was interrupted by Angela putting a finger to his lips.
"She's fine as long as she understands the consequences."
"Ok baby." Wesley put Lucy's waffle onto a plate and called her.
Lucy came back in and sat down as the breakfast bar.
"Thank you so much." She smiled as she ate quickly, not wanting to be late for work.
"Lucy u seem in a really good mood."
"I mean I did go to sleep at like 7:30pm."
"That's like 11 hours of sleep!" Wesley was in shock.
"I'm going to get ready for work."
"Alright Lu."
Lucy got up and went to her room.
She get undressed and had a warm shower, she felt like she hadn't showered in days. Well to be truthful she hadn't.
She washed the conditioner out her hair and turned the shower off. Then she brushed her teeth and put on some light makeup. Then quickly curled the ends of her hair.
Lucy went into her room and picked out a cute green cargo skirt with knee high boots and a black sweater. She felt so much more like herself now she didn't have the stupid bump.
Angela called Lucy as it was time to leave to get to the station.
"Coming!"
Lucy sprayed herself with perfume before grabbing her bag and meeting Angela at the front door.
"You're looking super cute today Luce."
"Crazy what birthing a baby does." She laughed.
"You feeling more back to yourself?"
"I am." A smile covered Lucy's face.
"I'm so glad. Let's get going!"
The pair left the house and drove to the station. Lucy walked in next to Angela, she felt so much more confident than she had for the past 9months.
Her and Angela went into the locker room where they were greeted by Celina and Nyla.
"I love ur skirt Luce." Celina complimented.
"Thank you Celina."
Instead of going into the showers to change like she used to due to being self conscious, Lucy got changed into her uniform with the others. Nyla gave Lucy a reassuring smile.
Lucy popped her hair in a messy bun with a few pieces out at the front.
"Let's head to roll call Lucy." Celina said.
