Nurse

In the morning Lucy woke up to see everyone in the kitchen making breakfast, she yawned and got off the sofa.

"Good morning." She tried to force a smile.

"Morning Lu, u alright?" Bailey asked.

"I'll be fine,"

"You want breakfast?" John asked as he turned the bacon.

"I think I'm alright thank you,"

"Lucy I think u need to eat." Celina added.

"I'm really not hungry,"

"Have u taken ur meds Lucy?" Bailey asked.

"Not yet."

"Go take them now before u forget, there will be a slice of toast waiting for u." Bailey smiled.

Lucy looked through her bag and found both her pills, she swallowed them and went back to the kitchen. She sat down in front of the toast Bailey made for her and began to nibble at it.

"I need to call Angela." Lucy said after she finished eating.

"Is that a good idea?" Celina asked.

"I need to because she's on duty today and we made a rule, never go on duty while in an argument."

"Alright Lu, the nurse will be here in a bit for Beas check."

Lucy went outside and sat on the deck put a cigarette to her lips and dialled Angela number but knew she might already be on patrol.

A- yes Lucy?
L- are u on patrol
A- yes
L- who's with u
A- Grey
L- can we talk about last night pleases
A- not right now Lucy.
L- but we made a rule.
A- Lucy this isn't an argument tho, this is me just being overprotective and I'm sorry. I was out of line last night but I'm so proud of how u handled yourself.
L- at least ur self aware I guess

Lucy laughed, she heard grey let out a chuckle.

A- I'm so sorry darling.
L- it's alright, is Nyla working today?
A- no she took a personal day, I did see Tim though and I told him I'm sorry for how I acted.
L- can I ask you something
A- go on then
L- why did u wait for me to call u if u knew u shouldn't have said anything and ur sorry?
A- I wanted to respect your boundaries, you left last night so I didn't want to make the situation worse by keep calling you
L- wow look how far we have come.
A- indeed we have
L- ok well I need to go get ready, I love you
A- love you too Lu, see you later.

Lucy slid her phone in her pocket and put her cigarette out before going back inside.

"It go ok?" Celina asked Lucy.

"Yeah she apologised and said she was just being overprotective."

"So u guys are chill now?"

"Yeah,"

"Lu I don't want to rush you but we have 20 minutes till the nurse is here." Bailey said as she washed up.

"Oh crap, I'll go change."

Lucy grabbed clothes from her bag, this consisted of a tank top and sweatpants. She took this to the bathroom to change. As she was finishing up getting ready Bailey knocked at the door quietly.
