A few weeks had passed and it was Friday, the morning Wesley and Angela were due to head off for their anniversary vacation. It was only 2 nights but Angela was worried leaving the kids with Lucy. Lucy had to work until 3 then pick the kids up from school.

Lucy's mental health had improved so much and she was almost back to her old self, but what if something happened.

"Luce don't forget Nyla is just down the road if there is any issues." Angela reminded her.

"Ange I've got this, I've literally been a mother," Lucy rolled her eyes jokingly.

"I know Lu, I just worry. Well I need to finish packing because we need to leave in an hour."

"I'm going to head to work, don't want to be late."

Lucy said goodbye to Angela and Wesley then headed to the station. She met Celina outside so they walked in together.

Lucy got changed into her uniform, she was unsure who she would be riding with today because Nolan was back and Nyla was working a case. She hoped she would be riding alone.

Lucy and Celina walked into roll call and sat down.

"Good morning everyone, welcome back officer Nolan."

Grey gave his usual notices during roll call.

"Chen you will be riding with me today."

Lucy nodded, she didn't mind grey but she just wanted a nice calm day.

"Ok sir." She smiled.

Lucy grabbed the war bags and set up the shop. She wasn't sure if she would be driving or if Grey would so she decided to stand outside waiting for him.

"I'll drive Chen,"

"Yes sir," Lucy buckled in.

They started to talk while patrolling around the city.

"So ur looking after Jack and willow?" Grey asked.

"Yeah."

"How u feeling about that?"

"Well Jack will be fine but willow can be a pain going to sleep but I'm sure she will be ok."

"If you need anything just call."

"Thank you sir,"

Lucy was grateful for everything everyone had done for her.

"You still going to therapy?" Grey continued to make small talk.

"Yeah every week, I'm so glad I started going."

"I'm really proud of how far you have come Lucy, I really thought at one point you were going to quit...or get fired. "

"Really?"

Grey saying this really made Lucy reflect on how bad things were a few months ago.

"Yeah like at the bbq, I really thought that was going to be it."

"Crap, that wasn't great."

"How are you and Tim? I heard he sat with you for lunch a couple weeks ago,"

"I haven't spoke to him since that, I felt bad he was sat alone."

"Do you think things between you will go back to normal?"

Grey knew he was asking personal questions he just wanted to give Lucy the opportunity to talk about what she was thinking.

"I'm not really sure to be honest I loved when I was with him but I don't know how we will get back to where we were." Lucy sighed.
