27 Weeks Pregnant
Annie and Ben's Apartment
Annie;
"I need you to do a favor for me." Jumping, I almost pull the fridge down. Spinning around on my heel, Rio is standing in the middle of the living room, smirking.
"What is it?" I wonder, taking a couple of steps toward him.
"I'm kidnapping you. You're going to hang out with Mick," Rio informs. I raise an eyebrow at him, believing he's joking. When Rio cocks his head to the side, a neutral expression on his face, I realize he's being serious.
"Why? How long?" I ask.
"You guys blew my money in Canada. Since your sister is the ring leader, this will teach her a lesson and give her and Ruby motivation to get me what they owe. I'm not sure how long yet," Rio answers.
"What about Ben? He's supposed to be home in ten minutes and will worry," I say.
"That's part of the plan," Rio says. I can tell he feels a bit bad about it; Ben has taken a real liken to Rio.
I sigh.
"Can I at least call into work?" I ask. Rio nods.
"In the car. Grab your coat and a pair of shoes, we need to get going."

Botanic Bay
Saige;
Hearing my phone start to ring, I grab it from my winter coat pocket and swipe to answer it.
"Hey, Beth," I greet.
"Can you come over to my house? It's kind of important," Beth quickly asks.
"Why? I just got to work," I answer with a question, unlocking the flower shop's front door.
"Have you heard from Annie?" I freeze. Rio had told me his little "kidnapping" plan with Annie last night. I was mad about it at first, until Annie appeared into our bedroom from the hallway, telling me that she's consenting to do it. She's always liked screwing with Beth, but part of me is still a bit mad at her mainly, knowing that she can't say anything to Ben and knowing he'll worry.
"I haven't," I answer, hoping that Beth doesn't question my pause.
"Well, Ben just got here and you coming over might make him feel better," Beth sighs. I run a hand through my hair, guilt starting to eat me alive.
"I'm on my way."
Beth's House
"She didn't bring her phone." Ben holds up Annie's phone as I waddle my way into the kitchen, taking a seat on a barstool on the other side of Beth.
"She didn't take anything else?" Beth questions.
"There's nothing for her to take. Her coat and a pair of black sneakers are gone," Ben says.
"She didn't seem different yesterday before you left for school? Angry? Sad?" Beth asks. Ben shakes his head no.
"She had gotten home from her night shift fifteen minutes before I had to leave for school. She was tired but her normal self, wished me to have a good day and that I'd see her later that night," says Ben.
God, I should have convinced the two to think of another plan to urge Beth and Ruby to earn the money back to pay Rio. Just like how Grace and Annie can be trouble when they're together, the last couple of months with Rio and Annie getting close has made them troublemakers together. They have the exact same personality pretty much and enjoy annoying Beth.
