15 Weeks Pregnant

Saige;

Walking into the flower shop with a bottle of water in one hand and a 7Up in the other, I wish I would have stayed at home. The last week morning sickness has been kicking my ass. I always wake up around three-four in the morning and am up for the day.

"Looks like first trimester of pregnancy is better than the second," Grace jokes. I take a seat on one of the stools behind the counter, resting my head against my hand. 

"I don't know how Beth did this four times with only two year gaps," I say. 

"How's it been going with Beth?" Grace asks. 

"All right. Well, I came over this past weekend and snapped at her because she sat too close to me on the couch, but I'm sure she knew it was the mood swings," I say. Grace laughs. 

"Mick agreed to come help move the bigger things, like furniture," Grace informs. We close on the house in a little over a week. After work--when I feel like it--I've started going through my clothes, separating them into keep and donate piles. Rio and I have been doing little things to get ready to start moving, and we plan on this weekend to start actually moving things. The realtor agreed to let us store our things in the house, we just can't unpack until we sign.

"Great," I smile.

Later that Afternoon;

The Paper Porcupine;

Beth;

"Can we get an advance on our salaries?" I ask. Even though we're working with the enemy to take you down.

"What salaries?" Dave asks.

"The one we'll get with our new lives," says Annie.

"You don't have new lives yet! You haven't given us what we need!" Dave angrily exclaims.

"It's not my fault he's somehow one step ahead!" I shoot back. Yes, it is.

"Is your niece feeding information to him?" Dave accuses. 

"No! No. That night at The Diner a couple weeks ago, she wasn't supposed to stay, she was supposed to leave with Ruby. She's stubborn, more so now with the pregnancy hormones. She's free from that side of things, knows nothing," I say. It's partly true. 

"If you guys can't give us something good, we are all done here, and your husband is going back to the slammer."

Saige;

"What the hell did you three do?!" I exclaim as the three criminals get into my car. Right as I was getting home to my apartment, I got a collect call from Beth asking if I could pick her, Annie, and Ruby up from jail. 

"We needed extra money," Annie mutters from the back seat. 

"And, what did you guys do?" I repeat the question. 

"We "robbed" a jewelry store," answers Beth. 

"Why the quotation marks around robbed?" I ask. 

"We wanted to get arrested. Since we really can't print and wash, all three of us are getting short on money again. Annie's old co-worker, Tyler, is a guard at a jewelry store and "caught" us. We convinced our fun secret service friends to start paying us," Beth explains.
