8 Weeks Pregnant
August
Saige's Apartment;
Saige;
I let out an overly dramatic groan as I fasten a plain, white bra on. I hear Rio's footsteps enter my bedroom but don't turn around to look at him. My mood swings have been over the roof the last week, and I'm pretty sure Grace suspects I'm pregnant but hasn't said anything about it.
"What was that for?" Rio chuckles. I spin around on my heel and set my glare on him.
"My boobs have grown," I mutter. Another pregnancy symptom. A smirk slowly spreads across Rio's face as his brown eyes stay focused on my boobs.
"That's not a bad problem." I whack his chest, hoping that it hurts.
"There's some Amazon packages that were delivered," Rio announces.
Slipping on a long-sleeve black shirt, I walk out into the living room, where Rio has set three boxes on my coffee table. I rip open the first box and smile at what I see. It's Rio's late birthday present. I had gotten him a card on his actual birthday, but when I found out I was pregnant, I ordered this.
"It's for you!" I call. A few seconds later, I feel Rio's body heat against my back.
"I know beanies are more your thing, but I liked this one better. You don't have to wear it," I say, handing him the present. It's a black and white ball cap with Dad Club written on it.
"It's great," Rio smiles, pecking my cheek and putting the cap on backwards.
I rip open the second box. It's t-shirts that I'd order for my cousins. I decided to get just plain white t-shirts with Big Cousin on the front in black letters. I had talked to Beth as I was looking for ways to tell them and we had decided that telling them they'll be, "big cousins," will make more sense and understanding for them.
Opening the last box, it's filled with carefully wrapped mugs. They're plain white mugs to tell Grace, Lucy, Mick, Ruby, Stan, and Dean that I'm pregnant. Even though they already know, I still got one for Beth and Ruby.
"When's Marcus' shirt coming?" I ask. Rio had ordered a, "Big Brother," shirt for Marcus a couple of days ago.
"Um..." Rio grabs his phone and pulls up the tracking information. "Tuesday," he answers. It's currently Friday.
"You sure you want to meet me at Mick and Grace's? I don't mind picking you up from the flower shop," Rio asks. I hold in my annoyed groan and roll my eyes as I put everything back in the boxes. I had a feeling Rio was going to become more protective now that he knows I'm pregnant, and boy, was I right.
"I can drive still, Christopher," I mutter, turning around to look at him. Rio gives me an annoyed look.
"I'll see you tonight. Love you." Leaning up, I give Rio a slightly longer kiss. I don't want him thinking all day that I'm mad at him.
"Bye, Mama."

Lunch Time;
Annie;
"I don't want her thinking that I'm proposing only because she's pregnant," Rio worries. He, Grace, and I are meeting at the diner that Ruby used to work at for lunch to talk about the proposal. He offered to pick me up from the community center where my EMT course is to drive me to lunch, claiming that he wanted to talk to me about something without Grace.
