A few weeks had passed since coming to Dragonstone and receiving the horrible news of Sir Harwin's death.Aenyra and Aemond had written each other almost everyday, expressing what all they were doing and how they had spent their days. But after the news of Sir Harwin she stopped writing him.
Aenyra grieved a bit differently than her mother and brothers. She locked herself in her room and cried for two days not speaking a word.
Sir Harwin wasn't her biological father but he had been there for her all her life as if he was.
She loved him. After two long days alone and crying, she remembered what his last request was to her mother. Determination breaking her out of her sorrows, Aenyra began waking up everyday putting her anger in her training against Laenor.
"Decent but not good enough, Don't hold back against her opponent Aenyra!" Laenor tells her as he easily deflects any swings she sends him.
"The sword, it's just to heavy I need something different.. but a knife is to small." She frustratingly tells her father dropping the heavy sword in the sand.
Sensing her anger wasn't just from the heaviness of the sword.
"Aenyra, look at me, I know you're angry and sad over the loss of Harwin. Your mother and brothers feel his absence too." Placing a hand on his daughter's white head he smiles down to her as if reassuring her things will get better.
"If the sword is not your weapon and neither is a knife then how about a spear?" Laenor ask her as one of the knights came over handing it to him.Looking at the length and testing the weight of it in her hands she smiles " I think I can work with this!" The second she's comfortable with the spear in her hand she waste no time in proceeding to spare with Laenor.
"Excellent, EXCELLENT , the spear is definitely your weapon!" He proudly says as he deflects her attacks.
Holding the spear for the first time felt extremely right to her, like the spear itself was made for her.. just like the spear itself was her arm it came completely natural.
As they continue their training Rhaenyra comes out to find them with a letter in her hand."That for me?" Aenyra ask excitedly. Hoping to have received another letter from Aemond. But it wasnt likely due to her never responding to him in the first place.
"No my dear I'm afraid not." Rhaenyra turns her attention to Laenor with a doleful expression.
"What's happened?" Officially stopping their training Laenor's voice came out panicky. He knew something was wrong because he gave her the exact same look when he broke the news to her and the children about Sir Harwin.
"It's your sister, Laena. It seems she has chosen to die a dragon riders death."

Upon their arrival at Driftmark , the entire family and royal court gathered together for the funeral of Laena Velaryon.
Aenyra and her brothers stood beside her mother and father as Vaemond Velaryon gives the eulogy
"We join here today at the seat of the sea, to commit the Lady Laena of House Velaryon to the internal waters, the dominion of the Merling King , where he will guard her for all her days to come. As she sets to the sea for her final voyage, Lady Laena leave two-true born daughters on the shore, though their mother will not return for her voyage, they will all remain bound together in blood."
As Aenyra looks up to her father's face he stared blankly Laena's sarcophagus as he begins tearing up. Grabbing hold of his hand for support but he doesn't hold it back.
As if he mentally wasn't there anymore.
Her eyes snapping back to Vaemond as he continues his speech."Salt courses through Velaryon blood"
He pauses for a second looking to Rhaenyra and her children.
"Ours runs thick, ours runs true, ours must never thin."Aenyra felt disgusted by his vile words..at her aunts funeral no less, the audacity of this man!
Someone's laughter brings her out of her thoughts as she turns her attention to none other than Daemon Targaryen."Hmmm-hmmm-hmm"
He chuckles as he shakes his head at the pettiness in Vaemond's words."Vaemond clears his throat and finishes up with the eulogy.
"My gentle niece, may your winds be as strong as your back, your seas be as calm as your spirit, and your nets be as full as your heart. From the see we come , to the sea we return."
As the Velaryon men-at-arms grip the ropes tightly and pulling back slightly it send Laena's
sarcophagus dropping into the sea.————-
Following the funeral everyone heads to cliffsides courtyard for the wake.
Aenyra couldn't help feeling the unpleasant atmosphere as she looked around at the people.
Spotting Jace make his way over to their cousins Rhaena, and Baela as he awkwardly pays his respects to them.
Looking around again her eyes land on Aemond who was talking Aegon.Making a circle around to speak to him she catches a glimpse of her mother's eyes looking at the man known as Daemon Targaryen stand off to the side by himself.
Suddenly drawn to him Aenyra feet take her closer to the man who she didn't know but somehow drew her in with familiarity, as Aenyra closes the fist she catches his attention immediately.
"What is your name, little dragon?" Daemon
ask as he tries to intimidate her with his glare."Aenyra Velaryon."
She tells him holding her head high with no intimidation written on her face.Cocking his brow upwards "Whose child are you?" He ask her, showing a more curious expression than before.
The more she looks at Daemon the more the realization washes over her. This is her father! She couldn't quit explain how she knew other than the feeling of just simply knowing. There was no denying it, she even has his Larimar blue eyes."You know who's child I am." She replied, as confidence spoke through her words.
Daemon looks up as his eyes lock with Rhaenyra's as he silently ask her the question with his eyes.
She gives him a silent nod, confirming both their assumptions.Chuckling to himself as he looks away "Yes, yes I believe I do." He says under his breath as Daemon now turns to look into her eyes, noticing whose they favor.
"It was nice to meet you Daemon, but I have someone I need to speak with." Aenyra says as she goes to walk in the other direction.
"Don't worry little dragon you'll be seeing me soon." Daemon whispers under his breath for no one but him to hear.
