Aenyra opened her eyes to the early morning sun streaming in, its brightness almost unbearable. With a groan, she rolled over, bearing her face into her pillow."Princess Aenyra." Elinda called out as she entered the room, her voice light but urgent. "it's time to get up, breakfast will be served soon and your mother and father are already downstairs waiting."
Reluctantly, Aenyra sat up, only for the world around her to spin slightly, a wave of nausea rose to her throat and she squeezed her eyes shut, struggling to swallow it down.
"Princess, are you alright?" Elinda noticed Aenyra hold her stomach and cover her mouth. After a moment of wavering, she brushed off her discomfort and pushed herself to her feet to begin getting dressed for the day."What about the red dress today?" Elinda, standing in front of her wardrobe holding out a fitted deep red gown with a corseted waist.
She didn't understand why but the thought of wearing her wearing something so tight made her
Stomach churn even more. "I think I'll just go with my riding leathers, I plan to go to the train today anyways.""Of course, then do you have a specific style you'd like your hair?" Elinda asked, running the brush through Aenyra's hair.
"My usual braid will do."Aenyra replied, smiling at her reflection as Elinda expertly wove her hair together. Just then, the door swung open and Baela walked in.
"Thank you Elinda, but I can take it from here." Aenyra said, giving her an appreciative nod as Elinda stepped back, a warm smile on her face before leaving.
"I'm sorry, I'm a terrible sister!" Baela said flipping on Aenyra's bed looking to here with sad eyes. "It just wouldn't stop pestering me and I know I promised not ti tell, but it's Jace and I know how close you two are and he is just worried for you like I am and—"before she could finish Aenyra cut her off.
"It's okay, Baela. I promise, I'm not mad. If anything you did the right thing, I feel better at least not hiding it from him. I wish I could say the same for the rest of my family." Awnyra said, with a weak smile.
"Well, are you going to at least tell me all the details of what happened?"
"I don't kiss and tell." Aenyra said teasingly, as she finished up braiding the last bit of her hair.
"Well, I'm happy for you both. Everyone's been so unnerved here it's good to have at least one of us happy. I feel like father's been down my throat lately about training me and Moondancer."
"I'll speak to him, maybe there's something I can do to help. Come on let's go eat I'm starving."Aenyra said, grabbing Baela's arm and tugging her along.
