A week had passed since Visenyas funeral.
Aenyra woke to syrax screeching outside, something wasn't right, she jumped up looking out the window in her chambers and notice a shipped with the three headed dragon sigil on it. Immediately getting dressed she grabbed her sword spear strapping it to her back as she darted out the room.

Barely making her way down the cold halls of Dragonstone she noticed her father Daemon storming through the doors past her with an angry expression.

"Father—?" Aenyra called out, turning to look at him as he brushed past her.Rhaenyra followed in after him, along with see Erryk and a few more queens guard.

"Is someone going to fill me in on what just happened, I saw one of Aegon's ships outside."
Aenyra asked Rhaenyra. Her mother stopped beside her with a stoic face before saying words that took her by surprise.

"Aegon sent Otto Hightower here to offer an alliance."

"I'm sorry, he what? Offer what allliance?" Aenyra said, her heart beating in her ribs she knew, she didn't know how but she knew what her mother was going to say next.

"A marriage betrothal between  you and Aemond."
Aenyra swallowed hard as a knot formed in the pit of her stomach. "What was your answer?" She hesitantly chocked out.

"We declined." Rhaenyra said, watching Aenyra closely with narrowed eyes. She stepped closer to Aenyra so only she could hear. "I know your infatuation with him, but let me make myself clear, you will go no where near any member of that family. You are my heir and as such you simply can not marry someone who supports the one to took my crown"

Aenyra's serious expression faltered for a moment with shock but she was able to get ahold of herself quickly. Without saying another word she nodded her head to her mother then left.
The further she walked the more her chest felt tight, It was as if the walls around her were closing in, she felt suffocated. Breathing heavy she broke through the doors and ran towards the beach. Aenyra stood there for a minute or so before the loud roar of Cannibal echoed through the air.

————-

Aenyra rode on the back of Cannibal, she didn't even have a destination in mind she just needed this. To be away from it all.

Why is everyone pulling us apart, I get it he fucked up and started that stupid fight with Jace. He even said some awful things, but still it's as if the universe has it out for me.

She surveyed the familiar scenery until she her gaze landed across the little island she and Aemond had discovered during their dragon flights not so long ago. As she touched down on the soft, white sandy beach, she dismounted cannibal sliding easily down his wing until her feet met the ground.
With each step, she retraced the path they had once walked together. Memories flooding back of happier times when Aemond chased her, the laughter echoed in her mind as she walked through the green grass and past the towering trees, reaching the same cave they had explored before. Without hesitation she carefully made her way down the rocky incline to the small cave, its walls still  adorned with the beautiful crystals that sparkled in the gently light. Venturing further she spotted a letter sitting a smooth stone.

Aemond

Quickly opening the letter she let the seal fall to the ground.

Dear Aenyra,

I hope this letter finds you well, I want to start by apologizing for how things transpired at supper with our family. The words I spoke and the actions I took are not things I take pride in. These days apart have felt like an eternity, the absence of your presence has been unbearable.
I can only hope you still hold feeling for me, as I do you.
