It had been a month since Y/N and Scarlett officially started dating. In that short time, they had grown even closer, navigating their relationship with an ease that felt natural. Y/N found herself spending more and more time at Scarlett's house, especially with Rose, who had taken to her like she was a second mother.

Today, Scarlett was out for an interview with Jimmy Fallon to promote her new movie, and Y/N had happily volunteered to watch Rose at home. The little girl had been energetic all morning, crawling around and babbling happily, but now she was sitting quietly on Y/N's lap as they both sat on the carpet in the living room, watching the live broadcast of Scarlett's interview.

Jimmy Fallon, ever the jokester, had Scarlett laughing throughout the segment, making the audience laugh along with them. He asked her about the movie, about life as a working mom, and they even did a silly game of charades, which Scarlett won by a landslide. Y/N couldn't help but smile as she watched Scarlett being her charming, funny self. But then something unexpected happened.

Just as Scarlett was wiping away tears of laughter from one of Jimmy's jokes, a photo popped up on the screen behind them. It was a candid shot of Scarlett and Y/N together, taken just a few days ago when they were walking through a park with Rose. Scarlett had her arm wrapped around Y/N's waist, both of them smiling at each other like the world around them didn't exist.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat, her body tensing slightly as she watched the scene unfold.

Jimmy grinned and turned to Scarlett with a raised eyebrow. "So, who's the lovely lady in this picture with you?"

Scarlett didn't miss a beat. She looked up at the photo, and instead of deflecting or brushing it off, she let out a genuine laugh, one that made Y/N's heart swell.

"Oh, that's my girlfriend," Scarlett said casually, but with a proud smile. "She's amazing."

Y/N's heart pounded in her chest as the words settled in. Scarlett had called her 'her girlfriend'—and not just in private, but on national television, in front of millions of viewers. Y/N's eyes welled up with emotion, a tear slipping down her cheek as she smiled like an absolute idiot at the screen. She hugged Rose closer, her heart feeling like it might burst from how happy she was.

Jimmy chuckled, clearly delighted by Scarlett's openness. "Well, she must be one special lady to have caught your eye. We're all very curious now!"

Scarlett smiled wider. "She really is," she said, her voice soft and affectionate. "She's incredible with my daughter, and she's one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met. I'm very lucky."

Y/N was practically beaming at this point, watching Scarlett gush about her on live television. It was surreal—Scarlett Johansson, one of the biggest stars in the world, talking about her like she was the most important person in her life.

Feeling overwhelmed with happiness, Y/N stood up from the floor, still holding Rose in her arms, and started dancing around the living room. Rose giggled in her arms, her tiny hands clapping in excitement as Cebrus barked and hopped around them, joining in on the fun. Y/N laughed, spinning in circles as she twirled Rose around, her heart feeling lighter than ever.

As the interview wrapped up, Y/N couldn't stop smiling. She kissed Rose on the forehead and whispered, "Your mom is amazing, do you know that?" Rose just giggled in response, snuggling into Y/N's arms.

Hours passed, and Rose eventually drifted off to sleep. Y/N gently laid her down in her crib, brushing a hand through her soft hair before heading back to the living room. She was still buzzing with excitement when she heard the door to the house open.

Scarlett was home.

Y/N couldn't help herself. The moment Scarlett walked through the door, looking a little tired but glowing with happiness, Y/N practically rushed over to her. Before Scarlett could even get a word out, Y/N kissed her—hard. Scarlett's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly melted into the kiss, her hands finding Y/N's waist and pulling her close.

When they finally pulled apart, Scarlett looked at Y/N with a bemused smile. "Well, that was quite the welcome," she teased, her voice warm and playful. "What's gotten into you?"

Y/N's face was flushed with excitement as she grinned up at her. "I watched the interview," she said, her voice breathless and filled with joy. "Scarlett, you called me your girlfriend. On live TV."

Scarlett chuckled softly, brushing a strand of Y/N's hair behind her ear. "Of course I did. You are my girlfriend," she said simply, her voice full of affection. "Why wouldn't I?"

Y/N shook her head, still smiling like she couldn't believe what had happened. "I just... I wasn't expecting it. Hearing you say it like that... It made me so happy, Scarlett. You have no idea."

Scarlett's smile softened, and she reached up to cup Y/N's face in her hands, her thumbs gently stroking her cheeks. "I meant every word," she said quietly. "You make me happy, Y/N. And I'm not going to hide that from anyone."

Y/N's heart swelled with emotion at Scarlett's words, and she leaned in, pressing another soft kiss to her lips. They stayed like that for a moment, just holding each other, basking in the warmth of the moment.

When they pulled back, Y/N laughed softly, her eyes still sparkling with joy. "I was such an idiot earlier," she admitted, shaking her head. "I was dancing around the living room with Rose after you said that on TV. I was just so happy, I couldn't contain myself."

Scarlett laughed, her eyes crinkling at the corners as she pulled Y/N into a warm hug. "I wish I could've seen that," she said, her voice full of love and amusement. "But I'm glad you were happy. That's all I want—for you to be happy."

Y/N buried her face in Scarlett's neck, feeling a sense of peace settle over her. "You make me happy," she whispered, her voice soft and sincere. "You and Rose."

Scarlett's arms tightened around her, and she pressed a kiss to the top of Y/N's head. "You make us happy too," she said quietly.

They stood there for a long moment, just holding each other in the quiet of the house. It was a peaceful, perfect moment—one that Y/N wished could last forever.

After a while, Scarlett pulled back slightly, her eyes twinkling with a playful light. "So, how was Rose? Did she give you any trouble while I was gone?"

Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "She was an angel, as usual. We watched your interview together—well, I watched, and she mostly just babbled and clapped her hands. I think she might be your biggest fan."

Scarlett grinned. "Well, that's good to know. I'll have to work hard to keep her impressed."

They both laughed, the tension from the previous night completely gone. Y/N felt lighter, freer, and more in love than ever. She wasn't sure where this relationship was heading, but for the first time, she didn't care. All that mattered was that they were together, and that was enough.
