Unwelcome at the Door

The next day, she followed her routine because, of course, no matter what happens, life goes on, right? But whatever she was doing, her heart wasn't in it at all. The shocking revelation that Edwin was a werewolf gnawed at her.

How could it be real? The night before had been restless, her mind spinning with impossible questions. She spent the night tossing and turning, her mind filled with questions.

How is this even possible?! Was she dreaming?! How can a person suddenly transform into a wolf?
Is she alive or is a butterfly dreaming about her?

Aurora remained distracted the entire day, lost in these questions, to the point where the idea of going back to that forest didn't even cross her mind - she couldn't even bring herself to look in that direction anymore! The whole day passed without anything significant happening, and Edwin didn't come to meet her again.

The next day, Aurora woke up determined to find answers. After a whole day of deep thought, she realized that this was all real.

This was no dream, no trick of her mind.
She had gone to that forest where she met Edwin, and it was in his house where he revealed his truth of being a werewolf. He had transformed right in front of her eyes!

She got ready quickly, her curiosity driving her to meet Edwin again and get all her questions answered right away! But, of course, work comes first because if she missed a day, she'd lose a day's salary!

Aurora arrived at the café and got to work. While completing her tasks, she was quietly making plans in her mind.

'So, even if Edwin is a... werewolf, why did he tell me the truth? Aren't they supposed to hide their secret?

And judging by the earlier conversation between Edwin and his friend... Alex, it seems like he knows that Edwin is a werewolf too.

Wait, could it be that Alex is also one of them? '

That's when she remembered the book she had read in the library. " So... so it was all true! "

' The book mentioned that there are werewolf packs in this town, so it's all real?! And do they really roam around in those forests? And Edwin... he's one of them. But... didn't he just recently move here? Then how... ugh!

I can't make sense of any of this! '

Today, without stopping anywhere after work, Aurora reached home much earlier than usual. Although she wanted to meet Edwin, but later, she couldn't gather the courage to face him, so she turned back.
Lately, she's been genuinely worried about all this.

It's now 6:30, and Aurora, after freshening up, sat on the couch in front of the TV with her comfort food-a sandwich and mango juice.

"These days, constantly thinking about all this has been driving me crazy!" she muttered to herself while eating. "Anyway, now I'm kind of scared too. I mean, who wouldn't be scared knowing that werewolves live around the place where they stay?"

As she sat there, talking to herself, she suddenly heard a knock on the door.

"Who could it be at this time?"

She peered through the doorhole and saw that it was none other than Edwin.

Seeing him, Aurora instantly got nervous for a moment, her heart skipping a beat. She decided that she would pretend not to be home so he would leave.

But standing outside the door, Edwin said, "Don't pretend!"

"I know you're inside. First, your TV is on, and second, you're standing right by the door-I can sense your scent."

A soft, "Tck!" escaped from her's mouth. "No. Look, I don't want to talk to you!" Her voice was sharp, defensive, but Edwin could hear the tremor in it. She was scared, and that knowledge gnawed at him.

"I know you're really scared right now after finding out that I'm a... werewolf," he admitted, his voice gentler now, trying to reach her. "But I promise I won't do anything."

He shifted slightly, running a hand through his dark hair as he leaned closer to the door, his forehead nearly touching it. "I swear I won't even touch you. I just want to clear a few things."

There was a long pause.

Aurora's heart raced, her mind battling with itself. She wanted to trust him-his words but this time she used her mind instead. "No! How can I believe you? A wolf or ...monster like you?"

Edwin's hand balled into a fist against the doorframe, not out of anger but desperation. "Then tell me, how can I make you believe me?"

"Whatever you have to say, just say it from there and then leave." Aurora's voice was firmer now, but there was a crack in her resolve. He could hear it.

Edwin let out a slow breath, the frustration creeping in again. "Look, Aurora," he began, his voice tight, "we can talk peacefully, but don't reject me like this, please!"

"How... how can I let someone like you into my home?" Aurora's words were barely a whisper, but they cut deep.

Edwin was now extremely irritated with her repeated refusals. "My dear, listen to me-open the door, or else I can open it in my own way." His tone was calm, but the underlying tension was palpable.

Aurora felt a shiver run down her spine at his words. "What's with this 'my dear' all of a sudden?" she retorted, her voice trembling. "Our relationship isn't even like that for you to address me as 'my dea...!'"

Edwin's patience began to wear thin, his brow furrowing in irritation. "What our relationship is-that's exactly why I'm here to make it clear to you. Now please, open the door, damn it!" He knocked lightly, but the sound echoed ominously in the silence of the hallway.

But what was light for him sounded like a loud bang to Aurora. Panic clawed at her chest, and she shouted, "No! Go away from here!"

"I will never let an animal like you into my house! I'm calling the police right now!" Aurora's voice quivered with defiance as she stepped toward the landline, her mind racing with the escalating situation. But just as she reached for the phone-

Edwin's expression darkened, a primal instinct flickering in his eyes. "Alright then, now I'll show you what kind of animal I really am!" he growled, and with a swift, powerful motion, he seized the door's lock handle and broke it with a force that reverberated through the air.

The door flew open, splintering slightly as he barged in, his presence overwhelming the small space. Aurora stumbled back, her heart pounding in her chest as she faced the reality of his fury.
