"Jeonghan! I got you your favourite flowers!" Jaehyun, the school jock, went up to Jeonghan with a bouquet of Baby's-breaths in his hand.

At Pledis High, everyone knows Jeonghan. With his angelic face, long silky hair, and effortless charm, he's the school's superstar. Whether it's in the classroom, the cafeteria, or after-school events, he walks through the hallways like he owns them, adored by his classmates and envied by all. Teachers praise him, students follow him, and his social status is practically untouchable.

Jaehyun is one of the many admirers who have fallen under Jeonghan's spell. He's confident, charismatic, and popular in his own right—captain of the basketball team and well-liked among his peers. But none of that seems to matter when it comes to Jeonghan. For Jaehyun, Jeonghan is the ultimate prize, the person he's sure will complete his picture-perfect high school life. So, after weeks of planning, Jaehyun makes his move.

But Jeonghan, with his soft, unreadable expression, doesn't play along. He politely accepts the flowers, but his response is nothing like what Jaehyun—or the crowd—expects.

"Thank you, Jaehyun," Jeonghan says, his voice gentle but firm. "But I'm not interested."

The crowd falls silent, and the rejection hangs in the air like a heavy weight. Jaehyun's confident smile falters, and embarrassment washes over him as he tries to mask his disappointment. Jeonghan, however, is calm, his perfect demeanor unshaken as he hands the flowers back to Jaehyun.

It's not the first time Jeonghan has turned someone down, but his rejections are always graceful, never cruel. For him, there's a clear line between admiration and true connection, and despite Jaehyun's popularity and charm, he knows deep down that Jaehyun sees him as a trophy more than a person.

After Jeonghan's graceful rejection, the tension in the air thickens, and the murmurs from the crowd start to rise. As Jaehyun stands there, clearly caught off guard, Jeonghan's close friends Mingyu and Seungkwan step forward.

Mingyu, tall and athletic with an aura of cool confidence, gives Jaehyun a sharp look. He's fiercely protective of Jeonghan, and seeing his friend put on the spot like that doesn't sit well with him.

"Get lost, Jaehyun," Mingyu says, his tone cold and dismissive, cutting through the awkwardness. Jaehyun, already stinging from rejection, clenches his jaw but doesn't say anything.

Seungkwan, ever the outspoken one, steps up next to Mingyu, arms crossed over his chest. "Seriously? You really thought flowers would be enough to win Jeonghan over?" Seungkwan adds, a teasing edge to his voice. "Come on, know your place."

The crowd, sensing the shift in mood, starts to disperse, whispering amongst themselves. Jaehyun, his face flushed with embarrassment, takes the hint. He nods stiffly, not daring to argue with Jeonghan's inner circle, and turns to leave. As he walks away, the moment lingers—one more person who underestimated the bond between Jeonghan and his friends.

Mingyu and Seungkwan, always ready to back Jeonghan up, exchange a glance and turn back to him. Jeonghan, still composed as ever, lets out a small sigh, a hint of amusement tugging at the corner of his lips.

"You didn't have to do that," Jeonghan says softly, though there's no real protest in his voice.

Mingyu shrugs. "Someone had to."

Seungkwan grins. "Yeah, besides, it was getting awkward. I saved the day."

Jeonghan chuckles, his angelic demeanor intact, but underneath it all, there's a subtle sense of relief knowing his friends will always have his back, even in the most uncomfortable situations.
