Seungcheol found himself back in the quiet sanctuary of the library, surrounded by the familiar scent of books and the soft rustle of pages turning. The dim lighting created a cozy atmosphere, perfect for diving deep into his coding assignments. He settled into his favorite corner, where he could spread out his laptop, notebooks, and a few snacks he had stashed away.
As he opened his laptop and booted up his code editor, his mind wandered back to the whirlwind of emotions from the past week. Jeonghan had a way of occupying his thoughts, even when he was focused on his work. The memory of their first kiss replayed in his mind, bringing a smile to his face. It was still surreal to think that he was now dating the most popular boy in school—his angel.
Shaking off the daydream, Seungcheol leaned closer to his screen, concentrating on his coding assignment. Lines of code began to fill the page as he worked on a project for the computer science club. He was engrossed in his work when he felt a slight tap on his shoulder.
He turned to see Hansol standing behind him, a playful grin on his face. "Hey, you! Hard at work as usual?"
"Hey, Hansol!" Seungcheol replied, his face lighting up. "Just trying to finish this before the deadline. What about you?"
Hansol plopped down on the chair next to him, casually glancing at Seungcheol's screen. "I'm just here to grab a book for my theater role. Figured I'd stop by and see how my favorite coder is doing."
Seungcheol chuckled, feeling a rush of warmth at the compliment. "I'm doing good, just a bit stressed about this project. How's the theater club going?"
"Really well! We've been rehearsing non-stop. It's so much fun working with Seungkwan," Hansol said, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I can't wait for our first performance. It's going to be epic!"
Seungcheol felt a pang of envy mixed with happiness for his friends. He admired their enthusiasm, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was missing out on something special. "I'm sure you guys will be amazing. I wish I could come and see it," he said, trying to sound supportive.
"You should! Come cheer us on," Hansol encouraged, leaning closer. "And you can help us with the tech side of things if you want. We'll need someone to handle the lights and sound during the performance."
Seungcheol's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "That sounds like a lot of fun! I'd love to help out."
As they chatted, Seungcheol found himself increasingly drawn to Hansol's excitement. Their friendship had blossomed into something deeper, and the more time he spent with Hansol, the more he appreciated his supportive nature.
"Speaking of performances," Hansol said, his expression turning more serious, "how's it going with Jeonghan? You two look really happy together."
Seungcheol felt a blush creeping onto his cheeks. "We are, actually. I never expected things to happen so fast, but... I really like him. A lot."
Hansol grinned widely. "That's awesome! You guys are perfect for each other. Just don't forget about us little people when you're off being all lovey-dovey."
Seungcheol laughed, feeling the warmth of camaraderie between them. "I could never forget you guys. You're my support team."
"Good, because I'm going to need you both for my role!" Hansol said, teasingly. "Maybe I can get Seungkwan to give you a personal backstage tour."
Seungcheol shook his head, laughing. "I don't know if I'm ready for that level of backstage drama."
"Just wait until the first performance. You'll be so proud of us," Hansol said, his excitement bubbling over. "And who knows? Maybe we'll get a standing ovation!"
