As they sat together, the room quiet except for the soft sound of their breathing, Seungcheol decided to break the news to Jeonghan gently. He knew the update might provide a little distraction from the heavy conversation they'd just had, and perhaps even bring a small smile to his face.
"Hey, angel," Seungcheol began, brushing a few strands of hair away from Jeonghan's face. "There's something that happened at school while you were... you know, going through all of this."
Jeonghan looked up, his eyes still red from crying but filled with curiosity. "What happened?"
Seungcheol gave a soft chuckle. "You'll never believe it, but Mingyu... he confessed to Wonwoo."
Jeonghan's eyes widened in surprise. "Mingyu? Confessed to Wonwoo? Oh my God, really?" For the first time in days, there was a flicker of interest, a slight upward curve to his lips.
"Yeah," Seungcheol nodded, smiling softly. "But the thing is, Wonwoo didn't really give him an answer. He didn't reject him, but he didn't accept the confession either."
Jeonghan tilted his head, clearly intrigued now. "So, what's going on between them then? Wonwoo's usually so sure of himself."
"That's the thing," Seungcheol continued, leaning back slightly. "Wonwoo's been acting pretty confused lately. It's like he doesn't know how to respond, or maybe he's still figuring out his own feelings. And poor Mingyu... he's been overthinking everything, wondering if he did the right thing by confessing."
Jeonghan let out a soft, amused sigh. "Mingyu's always been the type to wear his heart on his sleeve. I hope things work out for them. They'd be cute together."
"They really would," Seungcheol agreed. "I think Wonwoo just needs some time. He's not the type to make quick decisions, especially when it comes to stuff like this. But Mingyu's hopeful. You should've seen the way he was pacing around after the confession, waiting for something."
Jeonghan smiled, feeling a small sense of normalcy in hearing about his friends' lives again. It was comforting to be reminded that the world kept turning, even when his own had seemed to stop.
"I'll have to catch up with them soon," Jeonghan murmured. "But for now, I'm glad to just be here... with you."
Seungcheol leaned in, planting a gentle kiss on Jeonghan's forehead. "Take all the time you need, angel. Everyone's waiting for you, but they understand. I'm sure Mingyu will fill you in on every little detail when you're ready."

The school courtyard was quiet in the early evening, with only a few students lingering on the benches and under the shade of trees. Mingyu's heart was racing as he stood by the lockers, clutching the small note in his hand. He had written and rewritten the words at least ten times before settling on something simple but honest.
He had liked Wonwoo for a while now, ever since that day at coding club when he first saw him sitting quietly in the corner. There was something about the way Wonwoo carried himself—his calm demeanor, his quiet confidence—that drew Mingyu in. And now, after weeks of leaving anonymous notes in Wonwoo's locker, he had finally decided to tell him how he felt.
Taking a deep breath, Mingyu spotted Wonwoo walking towards the lockers, his usual book bag slung over one shoulder. This was it—his moment.
"Hey, Wonwoo," Mingyu called out, trying to sound casual, but his voice cracked just a little. Wonwoo glanced up, his expression neutral as he acknowledged Mingyu with a nod.
