As the weeks passed, the anticipation surrounding the adoption of Sumin and Seowon continued to grow. Jeonghan and Seungcheol, though both busy with their respective work and the boutique renovations, never lost sight of their ultimate goal: bringing the brothers into their home and giving them the love and care they deserved.

Each day, as they ticked off items on their to-do list—finalizing legal paperwork, preparing their home, researching baby products—Jeonghan couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement mixed with a touch of nervousness. It was a big change, and although they were both ready for it, the magnitude of it all sometimes hit him in quiet moments.

One evening, after another long day of work and paperwork, Jeonghan and Seungcheol sat on the couch, the soft hum of the TV in the background. Jeonghan was flipping through baby catalogs, marking pages for things they'd need, while Seungcheol was texting back and forth with his co-workers about a work project.

"I think we've got almost everything for the nursery," Jeonghan said, setting the catalog aside with a sigh. "But I keep thinking about the little things—like what if we're not ready enough?"

Seungcheol looked up from his phone, his gaze softening as he put it down. "We're ready. We have each other, and we've got a great support system. Plus, we're learning along the way. It's going to be okay."

Jeonghan smiled, the weight on his chest lightening just a little at Seungcheol's reassuring words. "You're right," he said, reaching out to take Seungcheol's hand in his. "We've always figured things out together."

A few days later, they received the call that everything was officially finalized. The adoption agency had confirmed that Sumin and Seowon were officially theirs. Jeonghan's heart swelled with emotion as he shared the news with Seungcheol.

That evening, as they sat down to dinner, the weight of the moment hung in the air between them. It was a surreal feeling—this was the moment they'd been working towards, the moment their family would truly begin.

"We're parents now," Jeonghan said softly, a smile tugging at his lips.

Seungcheol's eyes softened as he looked at Jeonghan, and his voice was filled with both awe and excitement. "Yeah. We are."

They spent the rest of the evening talking about the future—what their new routine would look like, what they could expect from the transition, and how they would make their home a safe, loving space for the boys. Both of them felt a mixture of nerves and excitement, but above all, there was a sense of certainty that this was the right step for them.

A few days later, they packed their bags, ready for the moment they had waited for. The car ride to the agency felt like a dream—both surreal and overwhelming. As they walked into the office, their hearts raced with the anticipation of meeting their sons for the first time.

When they walked into the meeting room, Sumin and Seowon were there, playing quietly with the toys on the floor. Sumin, with his bright eyes and mischievous grin, looked up first, while Seowon, tiny and delicate, lay peacefully in his foster mother's arms.

Jeonghan couldn't help but hold his breath as he looked at the two brothers. Sumin's curious gaze locked onto his, and Jeonghan's heart swelled in his chest. Seungcheol, standing beside him, gently squeezed his hand in silent solidarity.

"We're here," Seungcheol whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "We're finally here to bring them home."

Jeonghan nodded, feeling tears well in his eyes. This was real. They were about to be parents—real parents, in every sense of the word. And as they reached out to meet Sumin and Seowon for the first time as their children, the world around them seemed to pause, as if holding its breath in anticipation of this new chapter.
