The morning sunlight spilled through the curtains, draping the bedroom in a golden glow. Jeonghan sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the neatly folded clothes he had laid out the night before. Today was the day—after weeks of preparation, anticipation, and dreaming, he and Seungcheol were finally going to meet Sumin and Seowon. Their boys.

Jeonghan let out a shaky breath as he picked up the crisp white linen shirt he had chosen for the occasion. His hands trembled slightly as he began to button it, the weight of the moment pressing down on him in a way that was both exhilarating and overwhelming.

"You're going to wear a hole in that shirt if you keep staring at it," Seungcheol's teasing voice broke through Jeonghan's thoughts.

Jeonghan glanced over his shoulder to see Seungcheol standing by the dresser, tugging on the cuffs of his light blue dress shirt. His hair was neatly styled, and his warm smile radiated calm reassurance.

"I'm just... trying to keep it together," Jeonghan admitted with a small laugh. "I feel like I'm about to audition for something huge."

Seungcheol walked over and placed a steadying hand on Jeonghan's shoulder. "It's not an audition, Hannie," he said softly. "It's the start of our family. And trust me, you're already perfect for the role."

Jeonghan chuckled at that, his nerves easing slightly as Seungcheol squeezed his shoulder before heading back to finish getting ready.

Once Jeonghan was dressed, he moved to the bathroom to fix his hair, carefully combing it into place before spritzing on a touch of cologne. He stared at his reflection in the mirror, giving himself a quiet pep talk. This is it. You're ready for this.

By the time he returned to the bedroom, Seungcheol was zipping up a small tote bag they'd packed the night before. "Got the gifts?" Jeonghan asked, crossing the room to inspect the bag.

"Of course," Seungcheol replied, holding the bag open for Jeonghan to peek inside. Nestled within were the small teddy bear they'd picked out for Sumin, the soft, cozy blanket for baby Seowon, a few simple snacks, and the photo book they had made.

Jeonghan picked up the photo book, flipping through its pages. It was filled with snapshots of their home—the cozy living room, the nursery they had begun decorating, and even the park nearby where they envisioned taking the boys on sunny afternoons. "I hope this helps them feel safe," he murmured.

"It will," Seungcheol said, his voice firm with quiet confidence. "We'll make sure of it."

With everything ready, they grabbed their jackets and headed for the door. Jeonghan took a moment to look around their apartment as they left, imagining the space filled with the laughter of two little boys. The thought brought a soft smile to his face, even as his heart raced with anticipation.

The drive to the agency was calm but charged with unspoken emotions. Seungcheol took the wheel, his hand resting on Jeonghan's thigh as they cruised through the streets of Seoul. The soft hum of R&B music played from the car speakers, filling the quiet with soothing melodies.

Jeonghan stared out the window, watching the city blur past. "Do you think they'll like us?" he asked suddenly, his voice barely audible over the music.

Seungcheol glanced at him, his grip on the wheel steady. "They're so young, Hannie," he said. "It's not about whether they like us right away. It's about making them feel loved and safe. That's what really matters."

Jeonghan nodded, taking a deep breath. "I just want everything to go perfectly."

"It will," Seungcheol said, a reassuring smile playing on his lips.
