Seungcheol had planned this for weeks, even months, replaying the moment over and over in his mind. The timing had never felt right before. But he knew he couldn't keep waiting for some perfect, fairytale moment. Their lives had been anything but predictable, yet here they were, stronger and closer than he'd ever imagined. All that mattered was the love they had shared through laughter, tears, dreams, and countless moments that had sewn them together.

That evening, Seungcheol took Jeonghan back to the park where they had spent some of their best days. It was an unassuming little spot by the lake, surrounded by tall, swaying trees. They had shared so much here—late-night talks, lazy Sunday picnics, and quiet evenings where neither of them had to say a word. Tonight, the lake shimmered in the moonlight, the water reflecting the sky in soft ripples, casting a glow over the world.

The two of them strolled down to the lake's edge, hand in hand. As they walked, Seungcheol felt a sudden wave of nerves. His heart was racing, and he could feel a slight tremble in his hand. Would this be enough? Would he be enough for Jeonghan?

They settled onto a low wooden bench near the water, and Jeonghan leaned against Seungcheol, wrapping his arms around his waist as if he belonged there. He took a deep breath and let the peace of the evening settle over him, watching Seungcheol as the moonlight cast soft shadows across his face. "What are you thinking about?" Jeonghan asked, his voice soft and warm.

Seungcheol turned to him, taking in every detail of Jeonghan's face—the softness in his eyes, the warmth in his smile. He reached out and gently brushed a stray strand of hair behind Jeonghan's ear. "I was thinking," he said quietly, "about how much you mean to me. How much these moments mean to me."

Jeonghan's smile widened, and he tucked himself closer against Seungcheol. But Seungcheol wasn't finished. His hand slipped into his pocket, fingers brushing against the small velvet box that held the ring he'd chosen weeks before. He took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment press down on him, and then he rose from the bench.

"Jeonghan..." he started, his voice trembling slightly. He didn't kneel down yet, not just yet, but he reached out, taking Jeonghan's hands in his. His heart raced as he looked into Jeonghan's eyes, which were filled with curiosity and something that looked like hope.

Jeonghan seemed to catch on then, his eyes widening just slightly, his lips parting as if he wanted to speak but couldn't find the words. Seungcheol took another breath, feeling as if the world was holding its breath right along with him. "You're my everything," he said, his voice raw and unfiltered. "I know we're still young, and I know life is unpredictable. But I also know that my heart belongs to you. It always has, and it always will. I want to be there for you in every high and low, every laugh, every tear, and every moment we get to share."

With that, he slowly knelt down, opening the box to reveal the simple yet elegant ring he had chosen—a small, silver band, engraved on the inside with the words, Forever with you.

"Jeonghan, will you marry me?" His voice was barely above a whisper, as though he feared speaking too loud might break the spell of this perfect moment.

For a second, Jeonghan stared, his eyes wide with a mixture of shock and overwhelming joy. Tears glistened in his eyes as he gazed down at Seungcheol, and slowly, he lowered himself to his knees as well, closing the space between them. He wrapped his arms around Seungcheol, burying his face in his shoulder as the tears he'd been holding back began to fall.

"Yes," he whispered, his voice shaky with emotion. "Yes, a thousand times, yes."

Seungcheol pulled back just enough to look into his eyes, and with a tender smile, he slipped the ring onto Jeonghan's finger. They sat there together, their foreheads pressed close, eyes closed as they let the warmth of the moment sink in. The world around them felt distant, blurred, like it was only the two of them who mattered here, now, in this perfect moment.
