After their sweet café outing, Seungcheol and Jeonghan parted ways at the school entrance, where the atmosphere buzzed with the excitement of students bustling about. While Jeonghan headed to his next class, Seungcheol made his way to the coding club, his favorite space to unwind and immerse himself in technology.
As he entered the classroom, he was greeted by familiar faces: Hansol, Dino, and a few other club members were gathered around a table, their laptops open, intensely focused on their projects. The energy in the room was electric, filled with the soft clicking of keyboards and the occasional laughter as someone cracked a joke about their latest coding mishap.
"Hey, Seungcheol!" Hansol called out, glancing up from his screen. "How was your date with Jeonghan?"
Seungcheol felt his cheeks warm at the mention of Jeonghan, but he couldn't help the smile that crept across his face. "It was great! We went to that new café and had a blast. He's really excited about choir practice."
Dino, who was leaning over Hansol's shoulder to see what he was working on, perked up. "Did you guys hold hands or something?" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows playfully.
"Okay, maybe we did a little," Seungcheol admitted, feeling a mixture of shyness and pride. "But it was just...nice, you know?"
Hansol nodded knowingly, his expression softening. "You two are adorable together. I can't wait to see how this progresses."
Seungcheol shrugged, a bit bashful but undeniably pleased. "Yeah, me too. I just hope he likes coding as much as I do."
"Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. First, let's focus on the club," Hansol suggested, his tone shifting to a more serious one as he opened a programming software on his laptop. "We have a project to finish for the competition next week."
Seungcheol settled into a chair next to Hansol, opening his laptop to join the brainstorming session. The team had been working on a game app, and the anticipation for their upcoming competition was palpable. They shared ideas and suggestions, each member contributing their own unique skills.
As the hours flew by, Seungcheol found himself fully absorbed in the task at hand. Coding alongside his friends felt like second nature, and he thrived in the collaborative environment. The camaraderie was evident; laughter and light teasing filled the room as they made steady progress on their project.
In between lines of code, Seungcheol found his thoughts drifting back to Jeonghan. He couldn't shake the feeling of excitement that had been bubbling within him ever since they had shared that moment at the café. The way Jeonghan smiled, his laughter echoing in his mind, made coding even more enjoyable.
"Hey, Seungcheol, you okay?" Hansol asked, breaking him out of his reverie. "You look like you're in another world."
"Yeah, just...thinking about Jeonghan," Seungcheol replied, a grin spreading across his face.
"Ah, the classic lovesick puppy!" Dino chimed in with a chuckle, nudging Seungcheol playfully. "You really like him, don't you?"
Seungcheol nodded, a mix of embarrassment and happiness flooding over him. "I really do. I just hope everything works out between us."
"Just be yourself," Hansol encouraged, giving Seungcheol a reassuring smile. "You two make a great pair. Just keep supporting each other, and it'll be fine."
Feeling uplifted by his friends' words, Seungcheol dove back into coding, knowing that no matter what, he had a strong support system in his friends and a blossoming relationship with Jeonghan that he couldn't wait to explore further. The excitement of the upcoming competition and the possibilities of what lay ahead filled him with renewed energy.
