As the days passed and they continued their wedding planning, there was one thing they kept coming back to—a shared dream for the future. In the midst of organizing the details of their big day, they found themselves talking more about the next chapter of their lives. It wasn't just about the wedding, but the life they would build together after.
One evening, as they sat on the balcony of their apartment in New York, gazing at the bustling city around them, Seungcheol casually broached the subject.
"I was thinking," he began, his voice soft but filled with conviction, "about how long we're going to stay here after you graduate."
Jeonghan turned to him, intrigued. "What do you mean?"
"Well, I know we're here now, but after your graduation in a couple of years," Seungcheol continued, his eyes reflecting the city lights, "maybe we should move back to Seoul. You know, settle down there." He paused, gauging Jeonghan's reaction. "It's always been home for both of us."
Jeonghan's expression shifted from thoughtful to nostalgic, and he looked down at his hands for a moment. "I've been thinking about it too," he confessed. "We've been talking about moving back for a while now. After I finish my degree, it might be the right time. It would be nice, wouldn't it? To go back to where everything started...to our families, our friends."
Seungcheol smiled at Jeonghan's words, feeling the same pull in his chest. Seoul was where their story had begun, where they met and grew, where their lives and dreams had first intertwined. Though they had made a home in New York, a part of them always felt tied to the streets of Seoul, to the life they had there and the people they loved.
Jeonghan's eyes softened, as if imagining their future in Seoul, the familiar streets, the comforting presence of their loved ones, and the idea of starting a new chapter in a city that held so many memories. "We could get a place near the city center. Maybe in a quieter part of town. We've always talked about how peaceful it would be to wake up to a view of the Han River, you know?"
Seungcheol chuckled at the thought, leaning closer to Jeonghan. "I remember us walking along the riverbank, dreaming about that. It feels like a lifetime ago."
"Maybe it'll feel like home again," Jeonghan mused, his voice soft but sure. "We could finally start our lives the way we always wanted."
The thought of moving back to Seoul after graduation brought them a sense of peace. It was a plan for the future, one that allowed them both to focus on their present while knowing that they had something to look forward to. They would be together, surrounded by the people and places they loved. And even though they had no idea what the future might hold, they knew they would face it together.
"Three years," Seungcheol said, his tone playful but determined. "It feels far, but it'll go by in a blink of an eye. And when it does, we'll be back where we belong."
Jeonghan smiled, his hand slipping into Seungcheol's. "Back where we belong," he repeated, a sense of warmth filling him as he thought about the next chapter of their lives.
As they sat there together, watching the sunset over the skyline, both of them knew that no matter where they went, as long as they had each other, they would be home. Whether it was in New York or back in Seoul, their love was a constant, a compass guiding them through the ups and downs of life, a love that would bring them back to where it all began—together.

Seungcheol sat quietly in their living room one evening, the soft hum of the city outside creating a soothing atmosphere. His mind had been drifting toward their upcoming wedding, the final details, and the guest list. His thoughts wandered to their friends—the ones who had been such a big part of their lives in high school, who had witnessed their growth, their love, their struggles. They had been there through everything, yet with Jeonghan's memory loss, Seungcheol was unsure whether it would be right to invite them.
