At school the next day, Jeonghan casually strolled through the hallway, his usual cool, confident aura surrounding him. As he passed the bulletin board, something caught his eye—a brightly colored flyer pinned to the middle, standing out among the clutter of announcements. It read:
"Auditions for the Choir Club!
Show off your voice and join the school's best performers!"Jeonghan paused for a moment, scanning the flyer with mild curiosity. He had never really considered joining the choir, despite his love for music. Singing was something he did for fun, usually in the privacy of his room or when he felt particularly playful with his friends. He was known more for his looks and charm than his voice, but still, the idea lingered in his mind.
His thoughts wandered back to when his friends, Mingyu and Seungkwan, had caught him humming a tune and teased him about how good he sounded. At the time, he'd brushed off the compliment, but now, as he stood in front of the flyer, he wondered if maybe there was something more to it.
Just as he was about to move on, he found himself hesitating. What if I gave it a shot? The idea of performing on stage wasn't exactly new to him, but singing in front of others? That would be different, a bit outside of his usual comfort zone.
As he stood there, contemplating whether or not to take the plunge, he noticed a few students passing by, eyeing the flyer with excitement. A part of him felt the familiar tug of competitiveness, a desire to stand out even more than he already did. And who knows? Maybe this could be fun.
Before he could second-guess himself, Jeonghan reached out and grabbed one of the little tear-off tabs with the audition details. Stuffing it into his pocket, he smiled to himself.
Maybe it's time for a new challenge.

As Jeonghan slipped the audition flyer tab into his pocket, he heard a familiar voice from behind him.
"What are you holding, angel?"
Jeonghan turned around to see Seungcheol standing there, an amused smile playing on his lips. He always had that casual, laid-back way of addressing Jeonghan, but the nickname "angel" sent a faint warmth to Jeonghan's cheeks every time. He still wasn't used to hearing it from Seungcheol.
"Oh, this?" Jeonghan pulled the tab out of his pocket and waved it in the air casually. "Just something about choir auditions. Nothing big."
Seungcheol leaned against the lockers, his curious gaze never leaving Jeonghan. "You? In the choir? That's something I'd love to see. You'd definitely steal the spotlight, you know."
Jeonghan laughed softly, brushing his long hair behind his ear. "I don't know about that. But... it could be interesting, right? Trying something different."
Seungcheol nodded, his smile softening. "You should definitely go for it. I bet you've got a great voice. And besides," he added with a teasing glint in his eye, "who wouldn't want to see the school's 'angel' up there performing?"
Jeonghan rolled his eyes at the nickname but couldn't help the small smile that crept onto his lips. There was something about the way Seungcheol encouraged him, always so genuine and supportive, that made him feel more confident.
"Alright, alright. Maybe I will," Jeonghan said, feeling a bit more certain about auditioning. "But only if you promise not to tease me when you hear me sing."
Seungcheol chuckled. "No promises. But I'll definitely be there to cheer you on."
Jeonghan felt a flutter in his chest at the thought of Seungcheol watching him audition, but he pushed the feeling aside. Instead, he just gave a playful shrug. "Fine. But don't expect any special treatment."
