Jeonghan and Seungcheol stepped into their new apartment, a spacious five-room unit nestled on the edge of one of Seoul's quieter neighborhoods. The air felt crisp and clean, the faint scent of fresh paint and wood polish lingering from the renovations they had overseen from New York. Sunlight filtered through the large windows, casting warm golden patches on the hardwood floors, making the space feel both inviting and surreal.

Jeonghan let out a soft breath, absorbing the silence, the sheer sense of openness around them. The apartment had felt like a dream when they'd first seen the floor plan. It was modern, with a generous layout that allowed for both privacy and shared spaces. They had spent months envisioning this—where each piece of furniture would go, what colors would fill each room, how they would make this place truly feel like their own. And now, they were finally here.

"Wow," Seungcheol murmured, a soft smile spreading across his face. He set his suitcase down and wandered slowly into the main living area, letting his fingers drift over the countertops, the cabinets, the empty shelves that would soon hold their lives.

Jeonghan chuckled, following him further into the space. "I know. Feels strange, right? We were just saying goodbye to New York a day ago, and now—" He spread his arms out, indicating the bright, airy apartment around them. "It's like we're in another world."

Seungcheol walked over to one of the large windows in the living room, peering out over the bustling streets below. From their height, they had a clear view of the Seoul skyline, the gleaming buildings interspersed with patches of green, and the faint outlines of mountains in the distance. The city looked both familiar and new, a place they once called home but were now rediscovering through a different lens.

"Come here," Seungcheol called, gesturing for Jeonghan to join him by the window. "Look at this."

Jeonghan stepped up beside him, following his gaze out over the city. For a moment, they stood together in comfortable silence, taking it all in. They could see the tiny shops lining the street below, the families strolling along the sidewalk, the warm, welcoming vibe of their new neighborhood. It was different from New York's fast-paced energy. There was a slower, more grounded feeling here, as if the city itself understood the need to take things at one's own pace.

"Not a bad view to come home to," Jeonghan remarked, leaning into Seungcheol's side.

Seungcheol smiled, wrapping an arm around Jeonghan's shoulders. "No, not bad at all." He paused, glancing around the apartment, an almost childlike excitement flickering in his eyes. "So, where do we start? Unpacking? Setting up the kitchen?"

Jeonghan laughed, stepping back to survey the boxes scattered around them. "Well, if we're smart, we should probably unpack the essentials first. But..." His eyes lit up mischievously as he spotted a box labeled "decor" in one corner of the room. "How about we start by making this place feel like ours?"

Seungcheol grinned, catching on to his idea. "Sounds perfect."

They began opening boxes, pulling out small frames, trinkets, and souvenirs from their time in New York, placing them carefully around the apartment. They hung a few framed photos along the hallway—a mix of their travels, moments from their life in New York, and cherished memories from their early days together. By the time they finished, the apartment was already starting to feel a bit more like home.

They worked their way through the living room, the kitchen, and then onto the bedrooms. The five-room layout felt almost luxurious to them—an upgrade from the cramped one-bedroom apartment they'd shared in New York. There was a master bedroom, a room each of them could use as an office, a guest room for family and friends, and even an extra room they hadn't decided on yet. The possibilities excited them, and as they moved through each space, their conversations filled the air with laughter and ideas.
