Later that evening, Seungcheol decided to surprise Jeonghan with a homemade dinner. He had noticed how much Jeonghan had been struggling recently, and he wanted to do something special to lift his spirits. After their quiet study session in the library earlier that day, Seungcheol knew Jeonghan needed more comfort than usual, and cooking for him seemed like the perfect gesture.

When Jeonghan arrived at Seungcheol's apartment, he was greeted by the warm aroma of food already cooking. The smell of garlic, herbs, and freshly baked bread filled the air, and Jeonghan couldn't help but smile as he stepped inside.

"Something smells amazing," Jeonghan said, slipping off his shoes and making his way toward the kitchen.

Seungcheol stood by the stove, apron on, focused on preparing the final touches to the dish. He looked up with a grin. "I wanted to cook for you. Thought you could use something nice after everything."

Jeonghan's heart warmed at the sight of Seungcheol bustling around the kitchen just for him. "You're really spoiling me, aren't you?" he teased, walking over to sneak a peek at what Seungcheol was making.

"Only the best for you, angel," Seungcheol replied, reaching out to pull Jeonghan closer, pressing a soft kiss on his forehead. "I made your favorite—creamy pasta with a side of garlic bread."

Jeonghan's eyes lit up. "You remembered," he said, touched by the thoughtfulness behind Seungcheol's gesture.

"Of course I did," Seungcheol said, plating the pasta with care. "Now, sit down and relax. Dinner's almost ready."

Jeonghan took a seat at the small table set for two, the candles flickering softly, casting a warm glow over the room. He watched as Seungcheol brought over the food, his heart swelling with affection. The simple act of cooking for him, of creating this peaceful moment between them, made Jeonghan feel more loved and cared for than he had in weeks.

Once Seungcheol sat down, they dug into the meal, chatting about their day and sharing stories. Jeonghan found himself smiling more, the weight of the past few weeks lifting just a little with each laugh and each bite of the delicious food.

"You're amazing, you know that?" Jeonghan said between bites, looking at Seungcheol with a soft gaze.

Seungcheol smiled shyly, his eyes flicking to Jeonghan's for a brief moment before looking down at his plate. "I just want you to be happy," he said quietly, reaching across the table to take Jeonghan's hand.

Jeonghan squeezed his hand in return. "With you, I am," he whispered, his voice full of sincerity.

As they finished their meal, the atmosphere grew even more intimate. After cleaning up, they settled on the couch, where Seungcheol pulled Jeonghan close, wrapping him in a comforting embrace. The quiet moments that followed were filled with soft whispers and stolen kisses, both of them savoring the peaceful evening they had created together.

For the first time in a long while, Jeonghan felt at ease, cocooned in the warmth of Seungcheol's love.

As the evening grew later, Seungcheol and Jeonghan remained curled up on the couch, the dim light from the kitchen casting a gentle glow over them. Jeonghan rested his head on Seungcheol's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. The warmth of Seungcheol's arms around him was soothing, and for the first time in weeks, he felt truly safe.

"Thank you for tonight," Jeonghan whispered softly, his fingers absentmindedly tracing circles on Seungcheol's arm. "I don't think I could've gotten through this without you."
