Chapter 25: Take A Picture It Lasts Longer
The day had passed in a flurry of classes, laughter, and playful teasing, and as the final bell rang, Soul felt a wave of excitement wash over him. He was eager to meet up with Keeho and practice their dance routine for the upcoming school talent show.
As he walked to the designated practice room, he spotted Keeho waiting outside, chatting animatedly with Theo. The sight of Keeho's animated gestures and infectious smile made Soul's heart skip a beat. He couldn't help but admire how effortlessly charming Keeho was.
"Hey, Soul!" Keeho called out, noticing him approach. "You ready to show off those amazing dance moves?"
"Absolutely!" Soul replied, grinning widely.
Theo nudged Keeho, an amused look on his face. "I don't know, man. With how much time you spend flexing and flirting, are you sure you're ready?"
Keeho laughed, throwing an arm around Soul's shoulders. "Soul is always ready! Besides, I think he just enjoys watching my amazing skills."
Soul felt a rush of warmth as Keeho's arm rested around him. "You mean your 'modeling for a fitness magazine' skills?" he teased, trying to play it cool.
"Exactly!" Keeho shot back, his eyes glinting with mischief. "I'm just trying to inspire you with my perfection!"
As they entered the practice room, Soul took a moment to adjust the music and stretch. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught Keeho looking at him, a playful smile on his face. Soul felt a flutter of nerves as he glanced back, his gaze lingering on Keeho's confident expression.
"Take a picture, it lasts longer," Soul quipped, a teasing smile on his lips.
Keeho's laughter echoed through the room. "I'll definitely remember that one! But honestly, how could I resist? You look cute when you're all serious!"
Soul felt his face heat up at the compliment. "Stop it! You're making me blush."
Keeho moved closer, leaning casually against the wall. "Good! Blushing suits you. It makes you look even cuter."
As they began their practice, Keeho took the lead, showing off a few moves he had been working on. Soul watched, completely captivated by how effortlessly Keeho danced. His body moved with a confidence that made Soul's heart race.
After a few rounds of practice, they decided to take a break. Keeho plopped down onto the floor, stretching out his legs. "So, what do you think? Should we add some more flair to our routine?"
Soul joined him, laughing as he mimicked one of Keeho's exaggerated dance moves. "You mean more dramatic poses? I'm not sure the audience can handle our level of awesomeness!"
Keeho grinned, nudging him playfully. "Exactly! We need to keep them on their toes! Plus, I want them to remember us as the cutest duo ever."
"Cute? More like the silliest duo!" Soul replied, shaking his head in amusement.
"Hey! Silly is just another word for adorable!" Keeho insisted, poking Soul's side, causing him to squirm and giggle.
Just then, Jongseob poked his head into the room, his eyes scanning the scene before him. "What's going on in here? Are you two being ridiculous again?"
Keeho turned to Jongseob, throwing his hands up in mock surrender. "Ridiculous? Us? Never! We're simply showcasing our impeccable talent and charming personalities."
Soul couldn't help but laugh, knowing how much Keeho loved to ham it up. "Yeah, we're just about to break out into a full-on talent show!"
Jongseob rolled his eyes, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Right. Just don't hurt yourselves with all that 'impeccable talent.'"
Keeho dramatically clutched his chest, pretending to be offended. "How dare you! I am an artist at work! My moves are flawless!"
Soul shook his head, trying to suppress a grin. "Keep dreaming, Keeho!"
Jongseob chuckled, stepping inside the room. "You know, if I didn't know better, I'd think you two were rehearsing for a romantic comedy."
"Why not? We have the charm for it!" Keeho replied, winking at Soul.
As the practice continued, Soul felt the energy between them shift, a comfortable rhythm forming as they danced and joked around. The teasing, the laughter, and the shared moments made Soul feel alive, and he couldn't imagine a better partner to experience it all with.
"Okay, let's get serious for a second!" Keeho said, suddenly standing up and striking a dramatic pose. "We need to end this practice with a bang! Are you ready?"
Soul grinned, feeling a rush of excitement. "Let's do it!"
With that, they launched into a combination of their best moves, their bodies moving in sync, the music pumping through the room. The laughter, the playful shoving, and the shared joy of dancing filled the air, creating a memory Soul knew he would cherish.
As they finished their routine, both of them out of breath and giggling, Soul felt a rush of happiness. Moments like these—filled with laughter, touch, and undeniable chemistry—were what made everything feel right. And as he glanced at Keeho, who was beaming with pride, Soul couldn't help but think that he wouldn't trade this for anything.
