Chapter 14: Unspoken Words

The next day at school, the air was thick with anticipation as Soul and Keeho prepared for their private practice session. They had managed to secure an empty classroom after school, the perfect setting for them to work on their dance routine and, hopefully, address the tension that had been building between them.

As the final bell rang, Soul felt a mix of excitement and nerves. He glanced at Keeho, who was waiting for him outside their last class, a mischievous smile plastered on his face.

"Ready to get our groove on?" Keeho asked, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

"Yeah, just let me grab my bag," Soul replied, his heart racing at the prospect of being alone with Keeho.

They made their way to the empty classroom, and as Keeho pushed the door open, he let out a dramatic sigh. "Ah, sweet freedom!" he exclaimed, stepping inside and striking a playful pose.

Soul chuckled, shaking his head. "You're so extra."

Keeho grinned, leaning against the wall casually. "What can I say? I like to make an entrance."

Once inside, they moved to the center of the room, and Keeho began to play some music on his phone, filling the space with upbeat tunes. Soul felt a familiar flutter of excitement as they started to warm up, their movements gradually syncing in harmony.

"Okay, let's work on that move where you spin and then we switch places," Keeho instructed, demonstrating the step with flair. "And remember, you have to look at me like I'm the only thing that matters in the world."

Soul couldn't help but laugh, his cheeks heating up at Keeho's playful challenge. "Right, because that's so easy to do."

Keeho stepped closer, their faces just inches apart. "It's all about the emotion, Soul! You have to feel it."

As they practiced, Keeho's energy was infectious. Soul found himself getting lost in the music and the rhythm, but he couldn't ignore the way Keeho kept inching closer, his playful touches sending shivers down Soul's spine.

"Come on, give me that intensity!" Keeho urged, his voice low and teasing. "I know you have it in you!"

With every spin and turn, Keeho would brush against Soul, their chemistry palpable. Soul felt his heart race, torn between focusing on the dance and the electric energy between them.

"Okay, let's try that move again," Keeho said, determination written all over his face. "And this time, really commit to it."

Soul nodded, trying to push aside the fluttering in his stomach. They began again, and as Soul spun, he caught Keeho's gaze, the intensity in his eyes drawing him in.

Just as they were about to execute the final move, Keeho stepped closer, his breath warm against Soul's skin. "Just trust me," he whispered, leaning in ever so slightly.

In that moment, time seemed to freeze. Soul's heart raced as he felt the warmth radiating from Keeho. Everything around them faded away, leaving just the two of them suspended in that electric moment.

But just as their lips were almost touching, the classroom door swung open, and in walked Jongseob, completely oblivious to the tension that had just filled the room.

"Hey! I was looking for you guys!" Jongseob exclaimed, grinning as he stepped inside. "I thought we could all practice together or—"

Keeho and Soul jumped apart, their cheeks flushed, both trying to regain their composure. "Uh, hey Jongseob," Keeho said, his voice slightly higher than usual. "What's up?"

Jongseob noticed the awkwardness in the air but shrugged it off. "I just wanted to see what you guys were up to. I thought you could use a third wheel!"

Soul couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and disappointment as Jongseob disrupted their moment. Keeho glanced at Soul, a hint of frustration in his eyes before he plastered on a bright smile for Jongseob. "Sure, why not! We can always use some extra energy."

"Awesome!" Jongseob replied, clearly excited to join in. "Let's see those dance moves!"

As the three of them began to practice together, Soul couldn't shake the feeling of what had almost happened. Keeho's presence was still intoxicating, and even with Jongseob there, the tension lingered in the air.

During breaks in practice, Keeho would steal glances at Soul, his expression a mix of playfulness and longing. "Next time, we won't get interrupted," he whispered when Jongseob was focused on the music.

Soul nodded, feeling both nervous and excited at the prospect. "Yeah, I'd like that."

The practice continued, filled with laughter and fun, but Soul couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within him. He knew they were on the brink of something special, and he was eager to see where it would lead.

As they wrapped up their practice, Keeho clapped Jongseob on the back. "Thanks for joining us! But next time, you need to knock before barging in on our special moment."

"Special moment? What special moment?" Jongseob teased, smirking.

Keeho shot him a playful glare before turning to Soul with a soft smile. "Don't worry, Soul. We'll have our moment soon enough."

With a hopeful heart, Soul left the classroom, eager for what was to come. He could feel the pull between them growing stronger, and he knew that whatever happened next, it would be worth the wait.
