Sophie's Point Of View
The sun was shining brightly as I walked through the park, excitement bubbling in my chest. It was a crisp March day, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. Today was the day Niall had planned for us—a day I had been eagerly anticipating since our first date.
I arrived at the spot where we had agreed to meet, a quaint bench nestled beneath a blooming cherry blossom tree. The petals danced in the gentle breeze, creating a picturesque scene. As I waited, my mind raced with possibilities. Would today be the day Niall would ask me to be his girlfriend? I couldn't help but smile at the thought.
Moments later, I spotted him walking towards me, his blond hair shining in the sunlight. He looked effortlessly charming in a casual t-shirt and jeans, and my heart skipped a beat at the sight of him. "Hey, Sophie!" he called, his voice bright with enthusiasm.
"Hey, Niall!" I replied, waving as he approached.
He reached me and gave me a warm hug. "I've been looking forward to this all week," he said, a wide smile spreading across his face.
"Me too! What do you have planned for today?" I asked, curiosity bubbling inside me.
Niall grinned mischievously. "I thought we could grab some lunch first and then head to that little ice cream shop nearby. I know how much you love ice cream."
I laughed, feeling my cheeks flush. "That sounds perfect!"
We made our way to a nearby café, chatting and laughing along the way. I loved how easy it was to be with him; every moment felt effortless, like we were two pieces of a puzzle fitting together perfectly. Over lunch, we shared stories about our favorite childhood memories, and I found myself hanging on his every word.
After finishing our meal, Niall led me to the ice cream shop, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of giddiness as I scanned the colorful flavors. "I think I'll go for chocolate chip cookie dough," I said, glancing at him.
"Great choice! I'll get the mint chocolate chip," he replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
With our ice creams in hand, we strolled through the park, the sun warming our skin. We found a spot on the grass, and I settled down next to him, savoring each spoonful of my ice cream.
As we enjoyed our treats, Niall suddenly grew serious, and I felt my heart race. He turned to me, his blue eyes looking deep into mine. "Sophie, there's something I've been wanting to talk to you about."
My stomach fluttered with anticipation. "What is it?"
He took a deep breath, his expression earnest. "I really enjoy spending time with you, and I feel like we have something special. I've been thinking a lot about us, and I wanted to ask if you would be my girlfriend."
The world around me seemed to fade away as I processed his words. My heart raced, and a wave of happiness washed over me. "Really? You want me to be your girlfriend?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Niall nodded, a hopeful smile on his face. "Yeah. I really like you, Sophie. I think we'd make a great couple."
I felt my cheeks flush with joy. "I like you too, Niall! Of course, I would love to be your girlfriend!"
A bright smile spread across his face, and he leaned in closer. "Awesome!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around me in a warm embrace. I melted into his hug, feeling safe and happy.
