Sophie's Point of View

Tomorrow is my husband Niall's 27th birthday. Right now, our two-month-old daughter, Camryn, is taking a nap upstairs, and I'm sitting on the couch with our oldest daughter, Sarah, who is two years old.

"Mommy, can we watch Beauty and the Beast again?" Sarah asks, her eyes wide with excitement.

"Of course, sweetheart," I reply, hitting play on the movie. I can't help but smile at her enthusiasm.

"Daddy is going to be so surprised when he sees the decorations in the morning!" I say, glancing at the balloons and streamers I've set up around the living room.

Sarah giggles, bouncing in her seat. "Will he have cake, Mommy?"

"Yes, we'll have cake! And ice cream too!" I assure her, feeling the warmth of anticipation in my heart.

I look at the clock. Niall is still on tour and won't be home until 11:00 PM tonight, after the kids go to bed. It's hard not having him here, but I know he'll be thrilled to celebrate with us tomorrow.

"Can we make a big birthday card for Daddy?" Sarah suggests, her little hands mimicking writing.

"That's a great idea! Let's do that after your nap," I say, wrapping my arm around her as we settle in to watch the movie.

As the movie plays on, I hear the soft sounds of Camryn stirring upstairs. I glance at Sarah, who is already captivated by Belle's adventures. "Let's give Camryn a moment," I whisper.

Just a few minutes later, the gentle cooing transforms into a full-blown wail. I chuckle; she always manages to wake up ready to let everyone know she's awake. "Looks like someone's ready to join the party," I say, giving Sarah a playful nudge.

"Can I hold her, Mommy?" Sarah asks, her eyes lighting up at the thought of holding her little sister.

"Of course! Just be careful, okay?" I reply, setting Sarah up on the couch with pillows for support as I head upstairs to get Camryn.

When I reach the nursery, Camryn's big blue eyes are wide and searching for me. "Hey there, little one. Did you have a nice nap?" I say softly, kissing her forehead.

As I carry her back downstairs, I can hear Sarah giggling in excitement. "Camryn! Hi, baby!" she exclaims, bouncing in her seat.

I settle onto the couch, cradling Camryn in my arms while Sarah leans in close, her eyes full of adoration. "Look, Camryn! Daddy's favorite movie!" Sarah exclaims, pointing at the screen.

Camryn coos and makes little grasping motions with her tiny hands, and I can't help but smile at the bond forming between my daughters. "After the movie, we'll make that birthday card, okay?" I remind Sarah, who nods enthusiastically.

"What should we write?" she asks, her face scrunching in concentration.

"Let's write, 'Happy Birthday, Daddy! We love you!'" Sarah suggests, her voice bright with excitement.

"That's perfect, sweetheart," I say, feeling a rush of love and anticipation for the day ahead. Niall may be away, but the joy we're sharing right now feels like a celebration in itself.

As the movie plays on, I'm filled with a mix of nostalgia and hope, thinking about the memories we'll create tomorrow with cake, decorations, and the three of us celebrating Niall's special day.

As evening settles in, it's time to put the girls to bed. I know it will be tough to manage both of them alone, but I remind myself that we're a team.

"Okay, girls, it's bedtime!" I call gently, standing up with Camryn still cradled in my arms.
