Niall's Point Of View

I woke up to a beautiful morning, sunlight streaming through the curtains and spilling across the room. Today was a special day—Sophie's last day as a teenager. I could hardly believe she was turning twenty tomorrow. It felt like just yesterday we were awkwardly figuring out our first date, and now here we were, planning a celebration to kick off her twenties.

I made my way into the kitchen, where the smell of breakfast was already wafting through the air. Sophie was at the table, scrolling through her phone and laughing at something her sister had sent. She looked up as I entered, and her face lit up like the sun.

"Morning!"  She  chirped, her voice warm and inviting.

"Morning, birthday girl!" I replied, a grin spreading across my face. "You ready for your last day as a teen?"

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Don't remind me! I'm feeling a bit nostalgic."

We spent the morning together, cooking breakfast and chatting about the plans for tomorrow. I wanted to make it special for her, something she'd remember forever. "How about a picnic at the park?" I suggested. "Just you, me, and our friends. I can bring a cake!"

Sophie's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That sounds perfect! Let's do it!"

After breakfast, we got to work on decorations. I brought out the supplies I'd secretly gathered: balloons, streamers, and a big banner that read "Happy 20th Birthday, Sophie!" She squealed with delight as we blew up the balloons together, and I couldn't help but laugh at how easily her joy was contagious.

As we decorated her room, I felt a warmth in my chest. This was what I loved about her: her ability to find joy in the little things. The more we laughed and joked, the more I realized just how lucky I was to have her in my life.

I woke up early, excitement bubbling in my chest. Today was the day. Sophie's birthday. I tiptoed into the kitchen, careful not to wake her. I had a surprise planned—a breakfast spread of her favorites: pancakes, fruit, and orange juice. I couldn't wait to see her face when she walked into the kitchen.

As I cooked, I could hear her stirring in the bedroom. I finished just in time, placing the pancakes on the table and arranging the fruit like a little birthday centerpiece.

"Good morning, birthday girl!" I called out as she walked in, her hair a bit messy but her smile bright.

"Good morning!" she replied, eyes widening at the sight before her. "You made all this?"

"Of course! You deserve it." I pulled out a chair for her, and she sat down, her excitement palpable.

After breakfast, I felt a bit jittery. The picnic we had planned was still hours away, but I wanted everything to be perfect. I made a quick call to her sisters, Katherine and Danielle, and our friends, Maya and Layla, to ensure they were ready for the surprise. Everyone was in on it, and I felt a rush of adrenaline thinking about how happy Sophie would be.

When we arrived at the park, I took a deep breath. The area was beautiful, filled with blooming flowers and a gentle breeze that carried the scent of summer. We set up the picnic blanket, and soon everyone started to arrive. Sophie's face lit up as she saw her friends and family, a look of pure joy that made my heart race.

"Surprise!" everyone shouted, and Sophie's laughter echoed through the park. It was the sound I lived for.

As the afternoon unfolded, we played games, took photos, and shared stories. I watched Sophie, surrounded by love and laughter, and I couldn't help but smile. She deserved every bit of this happiness.

When it was time for the cake, I felt a rush of nerves. I had worked hard to make it just right, and I hoped she would love it. As I brought it out, decorated with her favorite strawberries and candles lit, I could see the glimmer in her eyes.

"Happy 20th birthday, Sophie!" I shouted, and everyone joined in singing.

She closed her eyes, making a wish before blowing out the candles. I could hardly wait to hear what it was, hoping it was a wish for more years of happiness together.

As we celebrated, I realized how special this moment was—not just because it was her birthday, but because it was another chapter in our lives together. Watching her enjoy every moment filled me with a sense of purpose. I would do anything to see her smile like this, today and always.
