Sophie's Point Of View

The sunlight streaming through the windows of our bungalow woke me before the alarm ever had a chance. I blinked, adjusting to the brightness, and turned my head to see Niall still fast asleep, his arm draped lazily across my waist. I couldn't help but smile. It was the first time in a long while that there was no pressure to wake up early, no itinerary to follow. Just the two of us, alone in this paradise.

I slipped quietly out of bed, careful not to wake him, and padded over to the open doors that led out onto our private deck. Stepping outside, I was greeted by the most beautiful view—calm, crystal-clear water stretching out as far as I could see, the sun just beginning to rise and paint the sky with hues of soft pink and orange.

I took a deep breath, feeling the warm breeze sweep across my skin. It was our first full day in Bora Bora, and we had decided to keep things simple. No adventures, no sightseeing—just a day to settle in, relax, and adjust to the time difference. I already knew that the day would be perfect.

Behind me, I heard Niall stir, and soon he was standing next to me, sleep still evident in his eyes. "Morning, Mrs. Horan," he said softly, wrapping his arms around me from behind.

"Morning," I replied, leaning into him. "Can you believe this place? It's like we're in a dream."

He chuckled, resting his chin on my shoulder. "I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. We've really made it."

We stayed like that for a while, just soaking in the beauty of the moment, the gentle lapping of the water below us creating a serene soundtrack. After a while, Niall suggested breakfast, and we ordered room service, deciding that neither of us wanted to leave the bungalow just yet. Soon, a spread of tropical fruit, pastries, and coffee was delivered, and we sat on the deck, eating and chatting lazily about nothing in particular.

"This is exactly what we needed," Niall said between bites of pineapple. "No rush, no plans. Just us."

"I couldn't agree more," I replied, taking a sip of my coffee. "After the whirlwind of the wedding, it feels so good to just slow down."

The rest of the morning drifted by in a blur of relaxation. We lounged on the deck, Niall strumming his guitar quietly as I read a book, the two of us basking in the warm sunshine. Every now and then, we'd look at each other and just smile—content in the simplicity of the moment.

By early afternoon, we decided to take a dip in the ocean. We slipped into our swimsuits and walked down the short set of steps leading from our deck straight into the water. It was warm and refreshing, the perfect way to cool off after lounging in the sun. Niall dove in first, splashing me playfully as I squealed in mock outrage.

"Alright, Mr. Horan, you asked for it!" I laughed, splashing him back.

We swam around for what felt like hours, floating lazily and talking about everything and nothing. It was like time didn't exist here. Eventually, we found ourselves lying on a floating raft we'd rented, letting the gentle current carry us a few feet from the bungalow.

"I could stay like this forever," I said, my head resting on Niall's chest as we drifted.

He ran a hand through my hair, his voice soft and full of warmth. "Same here. I don't think I've ever felt this relaxed in my life."

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the water, we decided to head back inside, both of us starting to feel the effects of the time difference. We showered and changed into comfy clothes, opting for another quiet evening in. Dinner was delivered to our room again—this time, pasta  and more fruit. We ate on the deck, the cool evening breeze brushing against our skin.
