Sophie's Point Of View
It was 3:00AM, and Niall and I were peacefully sleeping, wrapped up in each other. The room was dimly lit by the moonlight filtering through the curtains, creating a serene atmosphere. But suddenly, I felt a warm sensation—something wet. My eyes flew open, and panic surged through me.
"Oh no," I gasped, realization hitting me like a wave.
Before I could process what was happening, a sharp pain gripped my abdomen. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I let out the most painful scream, a primal cry that shattered the quiet of the night.
Niall jolted awake, his eyes wide with alarm. "Sophie! What's wrong?" he shouted, sitting up quickly. The sleep was gone from his voice as he rushed to my side.
"I think my water broke!" I managed to choke out between gasps, tears of pain and fear streaming down my cheeks.
"What? Are you serious?" His voice was a mix of shock and urgency as he leaned closer, concern etched on his face. "We need to get to the hospital!"
"I know! But it hurts!" I cried, clutching my belly as another wave of pain washed over me.
Niall's expression softened, and he took my hands in his. "You're going to be okay. Just breathe, alright? I'm here with you," he reassured me, his voice steady as he tried to calm both of us down.
I took a deep breath, trying to focus on his words. "You're right. Just... help me up," I said, my heart racing with both excitement and fear.
"Okay, let's do this together," he said, wrapping his arm around me as he helped me sit up. "You're so strong, Sophie. We're going to meet our little girl soon."
With Niall by my side, I felt a surge of determination. Today was the day we would become parents, and no matter how painful the journey ahead might be, I knew we would face it together.
Niall took a deep breath, then reached for his phone. "I'll call the hospital," he said, his hands shaking slightly. "Just stay with me. I'll tell them you need to come in because you're in labor."
As he dialed, I could hear him speaking to the nurse on the other end, his voice filled with urgency. "Yes, my wife's water just broke. We're on our way. Please let them know!"
I watched him, my heart swelling with love and gratitude. He was my rock, and together, we would embark on this incredible journey into parenthood.
As Niall finished the call with the hospital, his expression shifted from urgency to concern. "I think we need to call your parents, too," he said, glancing at me with worry. "You might want them here with you."
"Yeah," I agreed, my voice shaky. "I really want my mom."
Niall nodded, quickly dialing my parents' number. As it rang, I felt another wave of pain ripple through me, and I winced, gripping the edge of the bed.
"Come on, pick up," Niall murmured, his brow furrowed. Just as I feared he would hang up, my dad's voice came through the speaker.
"Hello?" Michael answered, his tone groggy with sleep.
"Micheal It's Niall. Sophie's in labor; her water just broke. We're heading to the hospital now, but she wants you an Linda to come," Niall explained rapidly, glancing back at me to gauge how I was holding up.
"What? Oh my God! We're on our way!" Michael replied, his voice now fully alert. "Linda! Get up! Sophie needs us!"
"Okay, let me talk to Mom," I said, reaching out for the phone.
