Danielle's Point Of View

Today is the last day my little Freddie will be one year old. Time has flown by so quickly. I'm sitting in the rocking chair in his room, gently swaying back and forth as I rock him to sleep. His tiny breaths are soothing, and I can't help but smile as I look down at his peaceful face.

I hear Louis down the hall in the studio, working on some new music. I wish he could be up here with us, but I know how much he loves what he does.

"Freddie, you're going to be two tomorrow," I whisper softly, brushing a strand of hair away from his forehead. "You've grown so much this past year. I can't believe how fast it's gone."

Just then, I hear the familiar creak of the floorboards. Louis peeks his head in, a warm smile spreading across his face. "How's my little man doing?"

"Still fighting it," I reply, glancing down at Freddie, who is still fighting sleep. "He doesn't want to miss a minute of today, I think."

Louis chuckles softly, crossing his arms as he leans against the doorframe. "I get it. He's been busy learning how to be a toddler already."

I nod, my heart swelling with love as I look back at Freddie. "He really is something special. I just want to soak in these last moments of him being one."

Louis steps closer, his expression softening. "He's lucky to have you as his mom, you know. You're amazing with him."

I blush, feeling warmth spread through me. "I just want to be the best for him."

"Trust me, you are," he reassures me. "Let's celebrate his birthday properly tomorrow, okay?"

"Definitely. I can't wait to see him tear into that cake," I reply with a laugh, imagining the messy joy of it all.

"Me too. I'll let you get back to it," Louis says, giving Freddie a gentle wave before heading back to the studio.

As Louis disappears down the hall, I smile, rocking Freddie a little more as his eyelids finally grow heavy. When I'm sure he's fast asleep, I carefully place him in his crib, making sure he's comfortable.

I tiptoe downstairs, the faint sounds of Louis's voice filtering through the studio door. I settle into a corner of the room, listening as he pours his heart into a new song.

"Your voice sounds great," I call out softly, not wanting to interrupt his flow.

Louis glances up, a proud grin on his face. "Thanks, babe! I'm just trying to get it right. This one's for Freddie."

"Aw, that's sweet. He'll love it when he's older," I reply, leaning back in my chair.

"I hope so," he says with a chuckle, his fingers dancing over the guitar strings. "It's crazy to think he'll be two tomorrow. Feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home."

"I know," I say, my heart swelling with nostalgia. "I can't believe how fast this year has gone."

"But every moment has been worth it," Louis adds, his gaze softening as he looks at me. "You've done an incredible job, Danielle. I'm proud of you."

I smile, feeling a warmth spread through me at his words. "We're in this together, you know?"

"Always," he agrees, strumming a gentle tune that fills the room with warmth.

I close my eyes, letting the music wash over me as I think about all the memories we've made with Freddie in this past year. I can't wait to see what the next year will bring for my sweet boy
