Maya Point Of View

Today is the day I get married to the love of my life, Liam. It's hard to believe that in just a few hours, we'll be saying our vows in front of our friends and family. I'm also 27 weeks pregnant with our son, who is due on March 22nd, 2017. Liam and I are both excited to become parents, but the nerves are definitely kicking in.

Lou Teasdale, One Direction's hairstylist, is meticulously working on my hair. The soft curls fall perfectly around my face as I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. "You look stunning, Maya! Just wait until the dress is on," she smiles, adjusting a few strands.

"Thanks, Lou! I can't believe today is finally here. I feel like it's gone by so fast," I reply, glancing over at my best friend, Danielle, who is setting up her makeup tools.

"Don't worry, I'm almost done with your makeup. Just a little more sparkle, and you'll be ready to shine," Danielle says with a wink.

Just then, Sophie walks into the room, looking radiant in her bridesmaid dress. She recently got married in June to Niall, and I still can't get over how beautiful she looked on her special day. "Hey, Maya! How are you holding up?" she asks, giving me a warm hug.

"Honestly, I'm a bundle of nerves. I just want everything to go perfectly," I admit, feeling a little overwhelmed.

Sophie squeezes my hand. "It will be perfect. Just remember to breathe and enjoy every moment. This is your day!"

Layla and Kathrine enter the room, their laughter filling the space. "You're going to be an amazing mom and wife, Maya," Layla says, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I hope so! I'm just trying to focus on what's happening today instead of thinking about being a mom," I laugh nervously.

Liam's older sisters, Nicola and Ruth, pop their heads in, grinning widely. "We're ready whenever you are! Can we see the dress?" Nicola asks, her excitement infectious.

"Soon! Just need a few more finishing touches," I promise, glancing at my mom, Lorelei, who is fluffing my veil.

"You look breathtaking, sweetheart. I'm so proud of you," my mom says, her voice thick with emotion.

"And Liam's going to be blown away," Karen, Liam's mom, adds with a knowing smile. "He won't be able to take his eyes off you."

Just then, Lux, Lou's adorable five-year-old daughter, runs into the room, her little dress twirling around her. "Auntie Maya, you look like a princess!" she exclaims, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Thank you, Lux! You're going to be the most beautiful flower girl," I say, kneeling down to her level. "Can you promise to sprinkle all the flower petals perfectly?"

Lux giggles, nodding eagerly. "I'll do my best! And I'll make sure to wave at everyone, too!"

I can feel the butterflies in my stomach. "I just hope I don't trip on my way down the aisle."

"Don't worry, we'll be right behind you if you do," Layla reassures me, laughing.

"Okay, everyone, let's get Maya in her dress!" Danielle announces, clapping her hands to gather everyone's attention. "It's time to make you a bride!"

As they help me into the gown, I can't help but feel a rush of love and support from my friends and family. Today is about starting a new chapter with Liam, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people by my side.
