Sophie's Point of View

It's 12:00 AM, and I can hardly believe it—Niall turns 28 in two days! But today, we're off to Ireland to spend some quality time with his family. We're already running late, as our flight from Heathrow to Dublin departs at 12:30. The alarm went off, and Niall and I rushed to get up.

I groggily stumbled out of bed and glanced over at Niall, who was already up, pulling on his clothes. "Babe, we really need to hurry!" I said, trying not to sound frantic, but there was a slight edge of panic in my voice.

"I know, I know. I'm on it," Niall replied, glancing at me as he grabbed a bag from the floor. "You get the girls ready; I'll grab the passports."

I nodded and rushed to Sarah's room. She was still deep in sleep, the soft rise and fall of her chest the only indication she was still in the land of dreams. I gently shook her shoulder. "Sarah, sweetheart, wake up. We're going to Ireland!"

She let out a sleepy moan, then slowly blinked her eyes open, her face scrunching in confusion. "Ireland?" she mumbled, clearly still half asleep, her voice thick with exhaustion.

"Yes, darling," I said softly, trying to make it sound as exciting as possible. "We're going to see Papa Chris and Nana's house!"

Her eyes fluttered, but then she blinked again, a little more awake now, the promise of adventure seeping through. "Will Papa Bobby and Auntie Nees and Uncle Greg and Theo be there?" she asked, her voice tinged with hope.

I hesitated, knowing we would be arriving late and they'd all be asleep. "Well, no, sweetheart. We're going to arrive really late, so they'll be fast asleep by the time we get there," I said gently, brushing a strand of hair out of her face.

Her face fell just slightly, but she quickly nodded. "Oh... okay..." she said quietly, though she didn't seem to mind too much.

I smiled and scooped her up in my arms, cradling her against me as we made our way downstairs. She rested her head on my shoulder, half-asleep but content.

Meanwhile, Niall had already scooped up Camryn from her crib. She was still a little dazed, blinking slowly, but Niall kissed her forehead softly, whispering to her, "Ready for a trip, little one?"

"Da-da!" Camryn cooed, reaching out for him, her little hands stretching into the air.

Niall smiled, settling her comfortably in his arms. "Let's go, baby girl."

As we gathered our bags, there was a rush of excitement in the air. We had to get to the car quickly, but the girls seemed to bring a sense of calm to the moment. The adrenaline started to pick up, and even Sarah, despite her crankiness from being woken so early, was starting to get excited.

"Are you sure we're flying on a big plane?" Sarah asked, her curiosity peeking through her tiredness as she tugged at my hand, looking up at me.

"Yes, darling," I said, squeezing her hand. "It's a big plane, and we're going to sit by the window so you can see everything outside."

Her eyes widened at the idea, and I could see a spark of excitement in her tired little face. "Will we see the stars?"

"We might," I said, smiling at her. "But once we're up in the sky, it'll be too dark to see the stars clearly. But we'll see the city lights from the window. It'll be magical."

"Will Camryn like it?" she asked with a little frown, glancing over at her baby sister, who was now resting against Niall's chest, barely awake.

"Of course she will," I said. "She'll probably fall asleep as soon as we're in the air."
