I sat on the couch, cradling my growing belly, while Louis sat beside me, his hand gently resting on my leg. Around us, everyone was buzzing with excitement as we helped Sophie and Niall plan their wedding. Layla and Zayn were tucked into a corner, heads together as they offered suggestions. Maya and Liam sat across from them, while Harry and Katherine chatted quietly next to us. Sophie's parents were on the other side of the room, with Sarah and Austin in the middle, laughing over some silly joke.
It was one of those moments where everything felt right. Family, love, and anticipation all hung in the air. We were planning something beautiful for Sophie and Niall, but even as I smiled at their excitement, I couldn't ignore the growing discomfort in my belly.
I shifted, hoping the ache would pass. But suddenly, a sharp gasp escaped my lips. The room went quiet, and everyone turned to look at me. "I think my water just broke!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with both shock and anticipation.
In an instant, the room erupted. Niall jumped to his feet, eyes wide with concern, while Louis froze beside me. "Louis!" I nudged him, shaking him from his daze, and he scrambled to his feet, rushing to my side. Katherine was already on her phone, calmly calling the hospital as she relayed instructions. My parents were moving quickly, making sure I was comfortable, and Sophie looked like she was torn between panic and excitement.
"We need to get her to the hospital now," Louis stammered, his face a mix of panic and awe. I could see the joy in his eyes, though, and despite the discomfort, I managed a smile.
As everyone sprang into action—grabbing my things, making sure everything was ready to go—I felt an overwhelming sense of love and support. We were surrounded by family and friends who would drop everything to be there for us. Louis squeezed my hand, and though I could see the nervous energy in him, his calmness was a comfort to me.
Minutes later, we were in the car, heading to the hospital. Louis' hand never left mine, and despite the chaos around us, I felt an incredible sense of peace. Our baby was on the way.
At 6:23 PM, the moment finally arrived. Our son, Freddie Reign Tomlinson, was born. I held him in my arms, tears streaming down my face, while Louis sat beside me, his hand shaking as he brushed a thumb across Freddie's tiny cheek.
"We did it," Louis whispered, his voice filled with wonder and pride. I looked up at him, overwhelmed by the love in his eyes.
Everything else melted away in that moment. It was just us—Louis, me, and Freddie. The three of us.
A while later, Louis stepped out of the room to share the news with everyone. I could hear the shouts of excitement, the congratulations, but all I could focus on was our son. The baby we had been waiting for was finally here, and my heart felt like it could burst with happiness.
When Sophie came in to hold Freddie, I smiled as she cradled him gently. The look on her face mirrored everything I was feeling—love, awe, and pure joy.
This was the start of something new, not just for Louis and me, but for all of us. Life would never be the same again, and I couldn't wait to see what was next.
