Sophie's Point Of View

Tomorrow is my daughter Sarah's second birthday, and I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant with her baby sister, who is due in four weeks on May 31, 2020. I'm in mine and Niall's room, trying to take a nap, but I feel really uncomfortable. Sarah is napping down the hall in her room, and Niall is downstairs decorating our new house for the Disney Princess-themed party.

As I tossed and turned, I suddenly heard Niall's footsteps coming up the stairs. When he entered our room, he smiled at me and said, "Hey beautiful, how are you feeling?"

I sighed, shifting to find a more comfortable position. "I'm okay, just a bit restless," I replied, trying to hide my discomfort.

Niall sat down on the edge of the bed, concern etched on his face. "You need to take it easy. You've been doing so much for Sarah's party. Are you sure you don't want me to help you get more comfortable?"

I shook my head, appreciating his support. "I'll be fine. Just need to rest a bit more before the party tomorrow. How's the decorating going?"

"Almost done! I think Sarah is going to love it," he said, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "I can't wait to see her face when she walks in."

"Me too," I said, smiling at the thought. "You really are the best, you know that?"

He chuckled softly. "Only because I have you as my partner."

With a sigh, I settled back into the pillows, grateful for his presence. "Thanks, love. Now go finish up; I'll catch some more sleep."

"Alright, I'll let you rest. Just shout if you need anything, okay?" he said, leaning down to give me a quick kiss on the forehead.

"Will do," I whispered as he stood up and walked out of the room, leaving me in the comforting silence.

I closed my eyes, hoping for a few more minutes of rest, but my mind was racing with thoughts about tomorrow. I could already picture the decorations Niall had set up: colorful balloons, twinkling lights, and all the little princess-themed touches we had discussed.

As I drifted in and out of sleep, I heard the sound of giggles coming from down the hall. It must have been Sarah waking up from her nap. I smiled at the thought of her little voice, imagining her excitement when she sees her birthday setup.

Just then, I heard Niall's voice, softly calling, "Sarah, sweetheart, it's time to get up! We have a big day tomorrow!"

I opened my eyes and sat up a little straighter. I could hear Sarah's tiny feet padding across the floor, followed by her sweet, sleepy voice. "Dada I Up

Niall chuckled. "You ready to help me finish decorating for your princess party?"

"Yay!" she squealed, her joy filling the hallway.

I could picture her running into the living room, her hair still tousled from sleep, eyes bright with anticipation. It warmed my heart to know how special tomorrow would be for her.

With a newfound energy, I decided it was time to join them. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up, taking a moment to steady myself. The discomfort was still there, but the excitement for Sarah's birthday was enough to push me forward.

As I walked down the hall, I could see Niall kneeling next to Sarah, showing her the decorations he had already put up. "Look at these, Sarah! What do you think?"

Pweety" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Just wait until you see the cake!" Niall added with a wink, and I felt a smile spread across my face.
