That night, the moment Zadhea arrived at her room, she threw the wig away and ruffled her hair with both hands until it became a total mess, like a crow's nest. She was feeling frustrated. She knew she should take a break from everything, or else she'd collapse from mental exhaustion. Taking a dry towel, she was about to go into the bathroom when she heard a knock on the door, which made her frown. She wondered who would visit her at such an hour. It was already past midnight.
Without asking who it was, she reached the door and slowly opened it before poking her head out. She was surprised to see an unknown girl standing in front of her room.
The girl looked surprised as well. She even blushed, shyly lowering her eyes to the floor while drawing lines on it with her toes.
Zadhea watched her actions silently, unable to say anything. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong?"
The girl looked up at her, widening her eyes in shock. She opened and closed her mouth, looking like a fish thrown onto the ground. "Y-you, who are you?"
Zadhea didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The girl had come to her room and was asking who she was. Shaking her head, Zadhea looked at her incredulously. "I'm Zadhea. The person who lives in this room."
The girl tilted her head, her cheeks blushing even more like a cherry. "Aaah." When she finally understood, she began to laugh very awkwardly.
Zadhea felt awkward as well as she chuckled softly, not even knowing why they were laughing.
"I thought you were a boy," the girl explained, her whole face red like a monkey's butt. "You... you even have a mustache."
When Zadhea heard it, she couldn't help but laugh out loud. Unlike before, it was a genuine one. "I forgot to remove it. I was practicing a script, you know," she said while wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes.
The girl nodded understandingly, a small smile on her lips. The awkwardness between them disappeared at that moment as they had a small chat.
"So, Zadhea, why were you absent for days?" she asked. "I was looking for you for days."
Zadhea didn't know what to say. She quickly made up a lie. "I went on a trip."
Wait, it wasn't entirely a lie, was it?
"Good for you." The girl pouted, feeling jealous. Then she clicked her tongue when she recalled what she wanted to tell her. "I almost forgot! There are two things I have to tell you. It's quite late, so I'll inform you about them directly right now instead of wasting your time, Zadhea. I feel bad, that's why."
Zadhea smiled, patting her shoulder. "Don't say that. I love talking to you."
The girl beamed with joy, blushing hard yet again. "Hee hee. Thank you..."
She took out a piece of paper from her gown pocket. "This note came from Siyara. I took the responsibility to hand it over to you."
Zadhea's heart skipped a beat. Siyara? Wasn't it the country Heidith went to attend that wedding?
That meant...
She glanced at the note with sparkling eyes.
The note must be from Heidith!
It made her happy as a beautiful smile took over her face. Zadhea's whole body began to glow because she was so delighted. Her cheeks flushed pink. She clenched her hands tightly. She had the urge to snatch the paper from the girl's hand. She knew it was indecent, hence she restrained herself with so much difficulty.
"Umm..." The girl was stunned. She could see Zadhea's difference very well. She was glowing like gold. She wondered why she was so happy. Maybe the note was from a person dear to her. "Take it, Zadhea..."
