Chapter 10: A Day's Worth
*POV: Snow*
I am so dumb. I'm dumb. It's official. This is the worst idea that I have ever had. Why would they let me convince them to do this? Nope. I just want to leave now. Soon enough, the door is opened revealing Louis Tomlinson, rubbing his eyes sleepily. He is obviously confused until we open up our papers that look like song scripts and begin to sing. We are disguised as carolers.
"He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake.
He knows if you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake!
You better not pout,
You better not cry.
You better not shout,
I telling you why.
Harry Styles is coming to town," we sing the last verse and I feel extremely lame. I can tell Louis was bored and about to close the door on us until we said the last line. I don't blame him at all. I probably would have.
I feel like I'm going to throw up.
Can I just run away?
I don't even get that option though as Harry walks out of the present box, holding a now lit cake. The cheesiness of this makes me embarrassed myself. I'm so stupid. God dammit. Why did nobody stop me?
I'm just repeating myself now.
"Happy birthday Lou. Make a wish," Harry smiles obviously embarrassed himself. Holy shit. I fucked up. I should've just kept it at a simple breakfast. Why do I have to be so good at convincing people to agree with my stupid ideas? Why?
Louis approaches the cake wide-eyed and blows out the candles, knowing that they're ruining the cake. Lexi removes the cake from him as everyone starts clapping. Soon enough, more sleepy boys appear in the door frame rubbing their eyes also.
"You brought them?" he asks Harry who just nods.
"Uh yeah. You said you wanted to meet us," I speak up.
"Let me guess. You're Snow?" he asks me and I blush, nodding.
"That would also make this your idea if Harry's stories are true," he continues on and I know everyone's eyes are on me. Can I just go and die now? I feel the heat in my cheeks and the sweat drops that are about to start beading down my face. By the apparent embarrassment on my face, everyone knows that it's me.
"You're cheesy. I like that," he smirks at me and I'm still freaking out.
"Come inside. You all must be freezing out there," Eleanor says appearing behind Louis. I wasn't expecting to see her here. It makes obvious sense though. Louis just wraps his arm around Harry's shoulder, pulling him in as the rest follow. Odette slowly closes the door behind us as we follow into the kitchen, seeing Liam questioning everything that's there. I don't blame him.
On the table, there's now a cake that Lexi just put down, waffle fries, eggs, orange juice, grilled cheese, sausage, ketchup, pancakes, and syrup. We didn't know what everyone would want, so we made a variety of everything.
I'm glad that we're inside now 'cos I'm calming down. The attention isn't on my stupidity anymore as we all gather around the table. Liam is still staring confused along with Niall. Soon after a very silent and unhappy looking Zayn stumbles down the stairs. He doesn't even question the fact that strangers are here.
"This is uh, Odette, Lexi, Madelyne, Summer, and Snow. Just some friends from the U.S. They made everyone breakfast for Lou's birthday," Harry explains to everyone, gesturing to each of us as we sit down.
