Chapter 43: Brazil

*POV: Harry*

I happen to know that Madelyne and James are going to arriving at our show here soon. It’s one of our first ones and Madelyne has never attending one of our shows, surprising me a bit. I paid for the fair and they’re flying out to come and see us. I have a guard waiting for them at the airport to bring them over here.

“Mate, we’re on in five,” Louis tells me and I nod, looking towards the door again. They were supposed to be brought back here to see us so I don’t understand what’s taking so long. The five sauce lads are just laughing at me. Just wait until they see Madelyne’s knockers, they’re huge and they’ll be going through James to get to her.

“Styles. Your friends have arrived,” the body guard I sent says and to my disbelief, Snow and Alee walk in. The surprise on my face must be evident as Snow looks down at her feet, blushing a deep red. I can tell the others are confused as well.

“Harry! C’mon,” Niall shouts running in, stopping when he sees them as well. None of us were expecting them. I want to ask what’s going on, but I’m pulled away by a guard, watching Alee help Snow over to the couch where the emos are lounging on.

The whole concert I’m distracted, wondering. That doesn’t stop the good mood I’m in at the fact that I finally get to see Snow again, I just don’t understand. So many questions are running through my head and I know that it happens to be messing with our performance.

Bouncing in to the back room with sweat beading down my face, I hear laughter. Among all of it though, even Ashton’s obnoxious giggling, I can make out her voice. Oh dear.

“Snow?” I ask breathlessly when I see her again. My chest is rising up and down, exhausted from the show I just performed. She smiles when she sees me.

“Hi baby,” she says, confusing me further. God damn those hormones pregnant women have.

“Can we uh, ya know, talk?” I ask.

“Of course,” she responds standing up. She walks over to me as I escort her out of the hall and over to an empty part of the stadium. Once we’re alone, I hug her tightly, causing her to giggle. I don’t think she understands just exactly how scared I was that I might’ve lost her.

“What’re you doing here? I thought James and Madelyne were coming? Why’re you so happy?” I ask all at once.

“James thought we needed to talk and didn’t know any other way to get us out here. And I am happy for many reasons. Mr. Green and I talked things through a bit, Madelyne and I are talking, the babies are healthy, I’m healthy and here with you. I don’t know. It’s just a lot of stress has been lifted from my shoulders, ya know?”

“That’s massive baby. I’m so glad to hear that,” I reply, giving her a quick kiss, a smile forming on my lips, but I know that we need to talk.

“Harry, I want you to know that I’m not quitting my job. I start in two days and they’re helping me. They’re going to keep me hired and give me maternity release, allowing me to return to work afterwards. Plus they have a daycare center there for the other mothers who work and Alee gets to help me while I’m working. They’ve gone to even precaution to make sure that I’m happy and I am. What other job would offer me a chance to have my children around while I work?” she tells me. I still don’t like the idea, but at least she’s explained everything to me so it doesn’t seem so bad. It doesn’t even bother me too much anymore. I’m just glad that she’s here and that she’s with me.

“I love you, I hope you know that. And I still don’t like the idea of you working, but I won’t ask you to quit anymore,” I tell her and her smile becomes even bigger. She wraps her arms around me again, pecking my lips.

“Good now let’s go eat because I’m hungry,” she tells me. I nearly laugh at her, but I’m glad to see this side of her and I don’t want it to go away.

“Let’s go ask the lads if they want to come along,” I tell her, pulling her back towards the room where everyone is. They all seem happy that I’m happy again and not moping around. I know that I haven’t exactly been wearing a smile lately, but I am now and I don’t want that to change.

“So did you guys have sex and make-up yet or no?” Alee asks as we enter, baffling me. Since when has she been so open?

“Uhm. No. Our fight wasn’t that serious,” Snow says causing laughter to erupt around the room.

“We’re uh going out to eat. You guys want to come?” I ask, wanting to know everyone’s response.

“I’m in,” Calum says, receiving agreeing nods from the rest of the group. I watch as Zayn goes up to talk to one of the body guards to find us some place to eat. Immediately they get to work on it. Soon enough we receive word that a restaurant is willing to keep closed and wait for us to go there so they can cook us food. So one by one, Calum, Ashton, Luke, Michael, Zayn, Niall, Louis, Liam, Lou, Tom, Lux, Alee, a few others from our crew and Snow and I climb on to the bus. They’re going to have a full house tonight, lucky them.

We arrive shortly enough and pile in to the restaurant, all of us making jokes, talking and laughing. I follow the rest of the crew inside when Snow stops, saying she has a call. I wait by the doors, watching her as she walks around the parking lot, seemingly frustrated.

What’s going on?

Soon enough, Snow bounces back towards me almost in tears, seemingly confused. She wraps her arms around me, snuggling in to my chest as I just stroke her hair. Who the fuck ruined her good mood?

“Who was that baby?”

“My mom,” she says, surprising me a bit.

“What happened?”

“She called and screamed at me because I seemingly ‘jumped town.’ Cops are looking for me or something and I just have to go home Harry. I don’t understand what’s going on, but I need to go home,” she says, crying a bit.

What is going on?
