0503- Surfing the After Shocks

The five of us have tried to be there for Ali in the passing days since her mom died. She doesn't talk to us and doesn't move from her bed.

Hannah comes back downstairs after helping Ali pick out a dress where the other four of us are.

"I don't want to see any police. Not at the funeral, not at the cemetery." Mr DiLaurentis pours him self a drink whilst talking to Jason. "No police. No press."

"I took care of it." Jason tells him.

"Did you?" Mr DiLaurentis questions.

He's so mean to Jason. I feel kind of bad for him. His real father wants nothing to do with him and the one that raised him hates him.

"Yes, I did." Jason says firmly.

"How is she?" Spencer asks Hannah.

"She's getting dressed." Hannah tells us.

Doesn't really answer the question.

"Yeah, but how is she?" Aria asks.

"She's going to her mom's funeral. How do you think she is?" Hannah questions.

Probably confused especially about the part that Mrs D buried her alive and now can't question her and she'll never know why because the only person who can answer is dead. But like also it's still her mom so I can imagine she's confused.

"She's going to bury the woman who tried to bury her." Spencer whispers.

"Question is, who buried Ali's mom in Spencer's backyard?" Emily asks whilst taking a glance over to Jason.

"It wasn't Jason." Spencer defends. Wait aren't Emily and Jason friends, why does she think he did it?

"What makes you so sure?" Emily asks.

"Because I saw his face when... the dog found the body." Spencer trails off.

"A dog who knows where the body was buried, that sounds exactly like A." Aria says.

"Wait so A sent the dog?" I ask Aria because that makes no sense.

"Dogs dig, okay? That's just what they do. They just smell something and they dig." Spencer says.

Like us on this god damn A trail.

"You didn't have to mention the smelly part." Hannah cringes.

"Aria, A is gone. You know that." Emily says softly. Yeah she knows because she killed her ans it haunts her daily.

But who the hell killed Mrs DiLaurentis?

"Yeah, A might be gone but we still have to deal with Mona." Spencer says.

"Old news, we deal with Mona daily." I say and shiver at the thought of her in the Montgomery house.

"She knows that Ali wasn't kidnapped." Hannah says.

"Got in Ali's face about it." Emily adds.

Ugh.

"She's not the only one we have to worry about." Spencer mentions.

Ugh.

If I have to start adding more people to the draw board in my head I'm gonna start to forget my name.

Spencer looks between me and Aria.

"Noel Kahn?" Aria questions. "He's going to do whatever is best for Noel Kahn."

"Yeah plus he's on Ali's side for him to get involved would be so messy and I'm sure he doesn't want to be involved." But then again he likes to insert himself in my mess daily.
