0202- The Good-bye Look

I look around for something, anything that could indicate someone's out there.

"Did things just get incredibly worse?" Aria asks.

"Um... feels like it." I say in a sarcastic tone, I don't know why it comes across that way. Maybe I'm nervous and antsy.

"I can't believe this. Ian's dead." Emily says.

"Zombies don't text!" Hannah argues. "He is alive somewhere." She says and I shiver. God I'm so nervous and feel so sick and I have no idea why.

"Spence." Aria pries.

"I have to get this phone home before Melissa realises that it's gone." Spencer says and begins to walk off.

"Okay you put it back and what do we do?" Emily asks, her voice slightly raised so she sounds a bit pissed off.

"Do we call the cops?" Aria asks.

"Oh yeah because that's always worked out so well for us." Hannah says sarcastically and I let out a laugh.

"Are you really laughing?" Emily asks and I shrug.

"Someone has to. This is so crazy that yeah if I want to laugh, I will." I roll my eyes.

Aria shakes her head and changes the subject, "Why is Ian texting Melissa?"

"And why is Melissa answering him?" Hannah asks.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who can put two and two together. They're married, they probably love each other and want to know the other is safe and I don't know, maybe alive?

"Is she? I mean, we don't know how long this has been going on." Emily points out.

"Spencer look, you've gotta find out what Ian told Melissa, you're the only one who can find out what he wants." Aria argues.

"And where he is." Emily says.

Outside. I think and instantly scare myself. Why would I do that? God I'm so stupid sometimes.

Something starts happening on the roof and I shake my head. No I'm getting out.

"Let's get out of here!" Spencer heads out of the greenhouse.

Already one head a step of you, literally.

We head back to our cars and to Spencers house.

"Let's finish this in the morning, okay? I'm cold, damp and scared. We can talk at school." Hannah says. Yeah, unlikely.

"We can't talk at school, remember? The four of us are supposed to be having 'separate time'." Aria says and I roll my eyes. The biggest load of bullshit I've heard. I like to do what I want when I want and I don't want some doctor thinking she can change that.

"Doctor's orders." Emily says sarcastically.

"What are we supposed to do, not talk to each other? We're in the same classes." Hannah points out.

"We just have to play it cool." Spencer says.

"I'm very good at that." I brag. Spencer rolls her eyes along with Emily. What? I am.

There's a noise behind us and I turn to see Jason DiLaurentis.

"It's Jason." Spencer points out.

"Did he move back in?" Hannah asks.

God he looks so hot taking the trash out. Did I really just say that? Well I didn't verbally say it so, did I really just think that? Maybe I do have a thing for my friends older brothers.
