0418- Hot for Teacher

The five of us walk into the brew for coffee, even though it's quite late.

Actually maybe I'll just get a hot chocolate instead of a coffee.

"Guys." Emily says grabbing our attention, from anxiously watching the barista make five of our drinks to Shauna in the phone booth.

"Have you heard from her since?" Spencer asks Emily. "Can we trust her now?"

"If Ali does, I guess it means we should try." Emily shrugs.

Ugh I don't like her.

"No, Shauna has too many faces to trust. I've been keeping count and I'm running out of fingers." Hannah tells us.

"I have a finger you can use. It's not the nice kind." Aria says.

I laugh.

Was that a sex joke?

The five of us sit down with our drinks.

"Is your dad going to be okay?" Aria asks Emily.

"They'll monitor his heart for a while to make sure but in the long run he should be fine." Emily nods.

That's good.

"Except for the part where Shauna gave him a heart attack." Hannah tells her.

"It wasn't a heart attack." Emily quickly jumps in. "The doctors said his chest pain was caused by anemia."

"Besides, I don't think it was her. I mean, Shauna led me to Ali. Why would she turn around and punish me for trying to find A? And we know that A is a dude." Emily quickly tells us all.

"Maybe Shauna is helping this dude? Wasn't she seen sneaking around Wren's apartment shopping boxes to Melissa?" Hannah asks.

What are we saying Wren is A?

"Sure but let's say it's not Shauna." Spencer throws it out there. Could be someone else, maybe it's someone else who's working on the pay with Mr Fitz."

"I was the first crew member he brought on." Emily tells her.

"And he asked you to meet him after school, right?" Spencer asks.

"Yeah he asked me to copy audition scenes whilst he was out running an errand. He said he'd come by if could." Emily tells her.

"What about you Aria?" Spencer questions way too quickly.

I turn to look at Spencer.

She looks so tired and her leg is shaking like crazy, that coffee definitely isn't helping with the jitters.

She looks kind of exhausted.

It seems kind of familiar.

"What about me?" Aria asks.

"I was just wondering that since you and Jake broke up-"

"Yeah, that doesn't mean we're back together." Aria tells us.

I liked Jake, he was so sweet.

"Look, I've been taking time for myself. Ezra and I haven't talked in a really long time." Aria adds.

"Do you think you could ask him?" Spencer asks.

"No!" Hannah jumps in. "No asking, no following, no taking a look. A gave us an order in my mouth!"

"I'm just trying to help Emily figure out who was chasing her." Spencer says softly.

"Emily already said that Ezra wasn't there, I don't know what kind of help he would be." Aria says.
