"I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need. I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree," Mercedes sang, sprinkling fake snow over the christmas tree with a bright smile spread across her face.
"Make my wish come true. All I want for Christmas is you," she continued, her voice carrying joy as the others joined in, dancing around and putting up decorations with laughter and excitement.
"I don't want a lot for Christmas; there is just one thing I need," Mercedes sang as she and Kurt rolled out a long strip of wrapping paper, grinning as Mike jumped through it.
"Don't care about presents underneath the Christmas tree," she added, spinning in time with the music as the group swirled around her, their movements light and playful.
"I don't need to hang my stocking there upon the fireplace. Santa Claus won't make me happy with a toy on Christmas Day," Mercedes belted out as Melanie tossed a brightly wrapped present to Artie, who caught it with a grin.
"I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know. Make my wish come true," Mercedes sang, her voice soaring as Melanie grinned and looped a strand of shimmering tinsel around Sam's neck, playfully pulling him closer. His laughter echoed hers, a soft pink coloring his cheeks.
"All I want for Christmas is you, you, baby. You!" the group sang together, their voices blending in cheerful harmony. Melanie danced beside Blaine, dodging the tinsel strands the others were weaving onto the tree, her laughter ringing out like a bell.
"Best Christmas ever," Rachel mumbled smiling as she leaned into Finn's arms. Melanie glanced at Sam from across the room, her smile softening as their eyes briefly met.

Melanie stood at her locker, pulling out a notebook and adjusting the strap of her bag. The hallway buzzed with life, but she tuned it out, savoring the brief stillness at her corner of the chaos.
"Hey," came a familiar voice behind her.
Melanie turned, the sound of her locker door clicking shut as she did. Sam stood there, hands stuffed nervously into his pockets, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips.
"Hi," she greeted back, her own smile forming.
"So..." Sam trailed off, his grin shifting as he searched for the right words.
"So?" Melanie repeated, tilting her head curiously.
He rubbed the back of his neck, glancing down briefly before meeting her gaze. "Since I came back... we've been talking a lot," he began, his voice almost hesitant.
Melanie nodded. "We have," she agreed, a small, warm smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
"And, well..." Sam took a breath, his nerves evident. "I'm not leaving this time. I'll be here until graduation."
Melanie's heart fluttered at his words, warmth spreading through her chest. "I'm glad to hear that," she replied, her voice soft.
Sam nodded again, as though reassuring himself. "So... I was wondering..." He hesitated, his grin turning a bit bashful. "Would you be my girlfriend again?"
Melanie blinked, the question hanging in the air. A smile crept onto her face, her heart melting at the thought. This was everything she'd wanted since he left, but a wave of self-doubt washed over her. She'd always been anxious, but this year, she felt like she was all over the place—a lot more to handle. Would he really still want to be with her now?
