The girls were gathered at their usual spot in the courtyard, the table buzzing with conversation and laughter as they picked at their lunches. Tina leaned forward, with a sly smile.

"So, Mercedes," she began, propping her chin on her hand. "How are things going with Shane?"

Mercedes' face lit up instantly, with an excited smile. "Girl, things are amazing," she gushed, leaning back with a contented sigh. "He just... gets me, you know? Like, he sees me. And..." She hesitated for a moment before lowering her voice. "I think I'm ready to tell him I love him."

The table erupted in excited squeals and gasps.

"Really?!" Tina asked, clasping her hands together.

"Yes!" Mercedes beamed, her excitement spilling over. "I've never felt this sure about anyone before. I mean, I know it sounds cheesy, but it just feels right."

Melanie smiled softly as she reached out to touch Mercedes' hand lightly. "I'm so happy for you, Mercedes," she said, sincerely. "You deserve someone who sees you for how amazing you are."

"Speaking of love," Mercedes added, turning toward Melanie with a teasing glint in her eye. "Things seem to be going well with you and Sam." She nudged Melanie, who immediately looked down, her cheeks turning pink.

"Oh, clearly, they can't keep their hands off each other," Tina teased..

"Yeah, it's kinda gross," Brittany chimed in with her usual deadpan delivery, causing Quinn to shake her head with a small, amused smile.

Melanie tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, glancing up sheepishly. "I don't know," she admitted softly. "It still feels... unreal, you know? I really didn't think I'd ever see him again, let alone that we'd get back together. And now, everything's just... so perfect." She paused, her brow furrowing slightly. "Sometimes, it's so perfect, it scares me—like I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop."

"Uh-uh, no way. Don't think like that," Mercedes said firmly, her voice cutting through Melanie's doubts.

"Honestly," Rachel chimed in, her smile warm and confident. "I can totally see you two making it all the way to the aisle one day."

Rachel nodded, her expression unusually supportive. "Honestly, I can see you two making it all the way to the aisle one day," she said, with a hint of excitement.

Melanie blinked, her blush deepening. "Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves," she said, though the corners of her mouth tugged upward.

The girls broke into giggles, teasing her lightly, while Melanie couldn't help but feel her heart swell with a quiet kind of joy.

At the same time the boys were sprawled out on the bleachers, their lunch bags tossed haphazardly around as they talked and joked. Finn nudged Sam with his elbow, a knowing smirk on his face.

"So, things are going good with Melanie, huh?" he asked casually.

Sam glanced at Finn with a wide boyish grin. "Yeah, really great," he admitted.

"I knew you two would find your way back to each other," Kurt interjected, his tone smug as he adjusted his scarf.

"Honestly, you're like a walking rom-com," Blaine added with a laugh, clapping Sam on the shoulder.

"This blows," Puck groaned, throwing his head back dramatically. "Am I the only guy in Glee Club not getting any action right now?"

Artie and Rory exchanged confused looks. "I'm single," Rory pointed out with a frown..

"Yeah," Artie added with a shrug.

"Yeah, but you two don't count. You're losers," Puck shot back, waving a dismissive hand. "I'm Puckasaurus! The honeys should be lining up to get with me."
