Waking up to the sun hitting my eyes, I rolled to the other side of the bed, my arms stretching out to feel for Tori's body. I lifted my head slightly at the empty bedding beside me and frowned, turning my head towards the bathroom, the door wide open.
"Tori?"
Getting no reply, I rolled over once more, pulling the sheet over my body as I sat up, looking towards the closet. I frowned when I found it just as empty as the bathroom was. I glanced to the bedside where our phones charged and saw no note saying she'd left the house like she'd usually left for me if she was leaving.
The door at the top of the stairs opened, I pulled the sheet up over my shoulders, keeping an eye out, and sighed softly when I saw Tori coming down, in a bathrobe and two mugs in her hands.
"Hey, you're awake. I was hoping the coffee would have woken you if I couldn't," She said, smiling as she held out a mug towards me.
I reached for it, letting the sheet fall from my chest, watching the way her eyes lit up as I smiled at her.
"How long have you been gone?" I asked, sipping the coffee as she slipped into the bed beside me and leaned against the headboard.
"Not even twenty minutes? Had a quick shower and went up to make coffee and bring it back. It's almost four in the afternoon. We probably won't be able to sleep tonight."
I scoffed playfully. "Speak for yourself, I'm ready to fall back asleep right now."
Smiling, she kissed my cheek and set her mug beside our phone chargers.
"I am too, actually. But knowing you, you'll finish your coffee and be ready to just be awake for a while."
"I know. You know me so well. Once that first sip of coffee hits, it's like waking up to an alarm for me," I said, leaning against her side, my head resting on her shoulder.
"What would you like to do today?"
"Maybe just relax a little? I know you probably want to spend time with your family," I half offered and she shook her head.
"Mum and Dad said now that I'm married, I technically don't even have to live with them at all, even though I'm still just barely under eighteen, I can do whatever I want. So unless you feel like getting up to help me pack some things, I can do that later. I do have enough to last me a while here. I do want to get a few things soon, mostly some supplies so Dad doesn't find my stash box, but that's about it for now."
"We can do it later if you want. Is anyone else here?"
Shaking her head, she patted my thigh.
"Alice took Riley and Rose out for a late lunch as I was coming up the stairs, and they took Aoife to the park with them.."
I nodded, rubbing my hands along my thighs a little before grabbing her hand, and giving a light tug, I patted my chest with my free hand.
Smiling, Tori shifted and straddled my thighs, leaned her chest against mine, and rested her face in the crook of my neck.
I stroked my fingers over her back, enjoying the soft shiver that ran through her.
"Tori?"
"Mhm?" She murmured, her lips brushing my neck in a light kiss.
"I love you."
Lifting her head with a finger beneath her chin, I softly kissed her lips.
"Jade, that's kinda gay, y'know," she said, smirking.
Rolling my eyes, I dropped my hands and looked away.
"I love you too, my beautiful wife. Very much. Now, I think we should get out of bed, you should get dressed, and you and I can go hang out in the sunshine."
Whining softly, I shook my head. "I don't want to go outside."
"What do you want to do?"
"I want to stay right here, wrapped in our own world all day."
"Shall I put an order in for food?"
I nodded, kissing her happily.
