Hello, my lovelies,
Time really does fly, doesn’t it? Can you believe it’s been a whole year since Beyond Destiny came into existence? Exactly one year ago today, I hit that “publish” button on Wattpad for the first time. Back then, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing—no clue about creating a book cover, choosing the right tags, or writing a catchy description. I was clueless, but I did it anyway.
At first, there was nothing—no views, no comments, no responses. But I didn’t give up. Every time I finished a new chapter, I would excitedly ramble to my friends, driving them crazy with endless rants. And those beautiful idiots hyped me up like I was some best-selling author. Their unwavering support gave me the courage to keep going.
Slowly, people began noticing my story. Readers started leaving comments, and I thought, Wow, this is actually happening! The thrill of seeing new views and votes grew into a hunger for more—more recognition, more interaction. I started promoting the book everywhere I could, especially on authors’ message boards.
That was when it happened—an author, a big-shot author I had always admired, called me out for my relentless promotions. She was my inspiration, someone whose every book I adored. I had always dreamed of earning her recognition one day, imagining that maybe, just maybe, I could become as big as her. But instead, her words mortified me. My self-respect crumbled in an instant, and I was utterly embarrassed.
At that point, Beyond Destiny had garnered about 2,000 views. I decided to stop promoting entirely. I tried my hand at Instagram, hoping to gain some traction there, but with no experience in creating content that resonated or went viral, I didn’t achieve much recognition there either. Life moved on, and with exams demanding my attention, I chose to focus on what mattered most: my studies and, of course, the book itself.
The views slowed down, but I kept going, fueled by the love of a small, loyal group of readers. People who never missed a chapter and left comments that warmed my heart. Their love for Dev and Rooh kept me motivated, even on the days when I doubted myself.
Looking back now, I have no regrets. Beyond Destiny has over 235,000 reads in a year—not millions, but still a number that makes my heart swell with pride. It may not have gone viral, but it reached the right people. It brought me heartfelt messages, encouraging words, and readers who believed in me and my story.
So here I am, filled with gratitude. Thank you, each one of you, for being part of this journey—whether you’ve been here from the start or just stumbled upon my story. Thank you for every view, every vote, every comment. Thank you for loving Dev and Rooh as much as I do. Thank you for believing in me when I needed it the most.
As I look to the future, I promise to keep telling stories that touch hearts. And my wish for you? May you find your own Dev Pratap Singh, or be someone’s Ruhanika—because everyone deserves a love as special as theirs.
Until next time, take care of yourselves. Love yourself fiercely, be unapologetically you, and remember to spread love wherever you go. The universe has a way of returning it, multiplied a thousand times over.
With all my love,
Magicshopofficial.
